I'm primarily an actor/writer but am also a filmmaker and a photographer most recently shooting celebs. If you're a Jeopardy contestant, you're much smarter than I am! I don't know if this site will have what class I was in but some of my credits are on imdb.

I'm so glad someone from our class was able to make contact with Mrs. Simon. I often wondered about her but never knew how or where to contact her. But I guess in some way she made a spiritual connection with me, because in looking her up, it got me to search for the old school -- and I found all of you!

Hi Elliot,

I had Mrs. Simon for ist grade as well, and went to her son Paul concert a couple of times... It was nice to have had the expierence of knowing such a nice lady like Mrs. Simon...

I too had Mrs. Simon in the 3rd grade! One memory was going to her house and seeing all of Paul Simon's gold records on her wall going up the staircase. She was a great teacher as was all of the teachers at 164.

My folks still live across the street from the school and i get such warm feeling whenever i pass by!!

Glad to see how many people have signed up since Patricia updated the site...

Laura, I also remember going to Mrs. Simon's house and the story of the gold records is one I tell my friends. I always think of that whenever I hear, "Love me A Rock." She was a most awesome person.

I too, had the priviledge of going to Mrs. Simon's house and seeing the gold records on the wall, going up her staircase....totally awesome! When I had her in third grade, it was her last year at PS164, and she produced a class play on THE SOUND OF MUSIC....with third graders!! That is one of my fondest memories of element school

I had her for both 1st AND 3rd grade. She was the BEST!! Don't remember the face cream though :-)

I remember reading on this site that she did pass on...but her vivaciousness is here to stay! I recognize your last name. Was your mom a teacher? Or did you leave near us on Vleigh Place? Or were you in my sister Judy Huie's class?

Judy was my babysitter and was friends with my cousin Erica Rothburd. My brother Adam was friends with your brothers and yes, we lived around the corner, my dad stilllives on 73rd terr.

I thought your name sounded familiar. I remember Erica. I didn't spend much time in the neighborhood. After we moved into it, I soon got to an age when I wanted to get out and explore the world.
