Allyn--Remember me? My brother gave me this website, and I couldn't resist touching base with some old childhood friends. I'm also married for 35 years, and our daughters are similar ages--31 and 27. Do you remember my older sister, Carol? She lived in Baltimore for many years, until she sadly lost her battle with cancer in 2001. I spent quite a bit of time there with her, and am still in touch with many of her friends. Where is Potomac in relation to Baltimre? Several years ago my class from Parsons had an informal reunion, and I was able to touch base with people I hadn't been in touch with for 40 years. It was amazing! Some were people from 164--Meryl Levine, Howie Ginsburg, Ellen Goldstein, Barbara Tsao and Gabe Taussig (both of whom I've remained friends with all these years.) I really haven't been someone who's lived in the past and kept up with many people, especially living so far away, but as the years pass it seems to hold more of an appeal! Since you knew us all so well, just to fill you in--Stu lives on Long Island, has 2 great kids, is divorced, and has a wonderful "fiance" who he'll probably never officially marry but we all adore her; Susie got her PhD from University of Chicago and was the Director of Primates at the Lincoln Park Zoo until recently laid off, but is now going to be a professor at Canisius College in Buffalo. She has two kids, 12 and 15. My mom died in 2001 (just a few weeks before Carol--pretty horrible) and my dad died in 1988, far too young. I hope that you and your sibs are all well. What about Rita (Kumoch?) Are you still in touch with her family? Anyway, I'd love to hear from you. You remain a fond memory of times gone by! Sandy

Hi Allyn, You do not know me since I graduated PS164 in 1973 but I also live in Potomac. It is nice to know that there are other graduates around the area.

Hi there Allyn! I just discovered you were on here. Welcome! It's nice to see the folks from the class of '61 starting to show up - I was the only one for quite a while. I was interested to see you became a physician - that makes at least 4 from our class, along with Andy, Peter Salgo, and Marty Starkman.

You can see more about me on my home page, but I wound up teaching at UMass and just retired this February. Howie Ginsburg is also teaching (at the Univ. of Rhode Island), so I'm starting to wonder just how many of our classmates wound up with that "Dr." in front of their name.

You know, I still remember being over at your house one afternoon. I've no recollection of what we did, but I recall it was a very pleasant time. It's good to be back in touch. I'd love to hear more about what you've been up to.

Allyn, It's been a long time. How are you? This site has been amazing. I've connected with lots of people of the past few years. I went to the Jamaica HS reunion last year and a Parsons reunion with my group the year before. How are things with you? All is well here. Are you planning to go to the reunion? I definitely am. I've become nostalgic in my old age. Would love to catch up soon. Hope all is well.
