and I would have written the second verse too, had you prompted me to think of it ... and by the way, I guess it is hard to argue with the author, but I'm pretty sure the word "hand" preceeded the word grenades - at least that is the way I sang it. Let me know if you want the words to walking down canal street (all verses) - however, I won't write those on this site (Mrs. Sondike may be looking down on us).

2nd verse:

And by the way, hate to admit it, but I remember the words to that song. And when it occasionally pops into my head, I do think of you, Rob, and the other boys in the class!

Well. I'm sorry to say I actually do remember all the words. I think I have a bizarre talent for remembering tunes and lyrics. However, I'm not thinking I will post those words. Did you write those? Tiv says the words to Stalag 164 were written before our time. Is that true?

We still have great memories of that beautiful( read artistic) house of yours in Yerushalayim with the pomegranite trees in the garden. I know you moved and for sure we'll come visit during our next trip.

I married off that kid Michael and he's finishing his studies in June. I also married off the little girl you picked me up with the first time I came to visit. Her name is Hadasa and she's given birth to a beautiful little girl. She lives in N.Y. We're still running a hotel at the Belgian seasite. Come and visit anytime if you're on the way to the states.
Isn't this site a riot. We're communicating with our 6 and 7 year old friends like as if we're going to the park tonight to play handball. Not to mention a pizza, Baskin an Robbins or a falafal on the way home.

Thanks for the comment, hope you are doing well. We are as busy as ever on the West Coast. Have your kids take some tennis lessons, that is the sport. I only wish I had taken it up as a kid. Israel is producing some talented tennis players as of late. Stay in touch...
