How are you? I've seen your postings with Ronni Birnbaum and wanted to say hello. As you probably know I've seen Joel several times through mutual friends (small world). I don't think that I am going to be coming up for the reunion. Almost no one from my years is coming - if I lived locally I would, but I don't think I'm going to make the trip. But I do plan to come to New York over the summer, so maybe we could all get together then. I have so many fond memories of our lives then. My stepmother (#2) is still living on Park Drive East. She is in one of the apartments on the street - my parents moved there after I left home. After my mom died in 1983 my dad remarried and his wife moved in, then she died and wife #3 is now there. He passed away about 5 years ago. I still have so many fond memories of your mother - she was so beautiful. I can even remember the dress that she wore to Joel's bar mitzvah - it was champagne in color. How's that for a memory. I can't remember what I did yesterday though. I would love to hear from you. Tell Joel I said hi.

hi - had a similar time-line to yours: Kew Garden Hills until 1965 then Great Neck. my parents got divorced and my father moved to Sands Point and mother to Searingtown (think that would be considered sort of or almost Roslyn?) see you at the reunion. i am the only person from the class of '65...

I paid almost 2 weeks ago and sent it to Howard Goldman but I just assumed he didn't post it yet. I will email him now. Thanks you. Don't know Jerry Reichman. But you and I were in the same grade, right. Class of '67) I left at the end of 4th. So we may know some of the same people. My best friends were Barbara Golan, Sharon Mitchell, Lisa Watstein (class of 68) and Sandy Stern. Any recollection?

I don't remember your name but maybe I would remember your face. I just ran into a girl who was in my 2nd grade class and she couldn't believe I recognized her! Did you know Jerry Reichman? He lived right near you.

Sorry to disappoint you but my parents are Frank and Cynthia Koppelman. They are still very active in the JCKGH though, which is now almost non existent. The only other Koppelman I knew from Kew Gardens Hills was Susan Koppelman. I don't know her parents names and have no idea whatever happened to her.

Wow, you and Joel and Meryl and spouses...I may have to reconsider just for that alone. I know it was in June, but didn't save any of the information. I'm not sure what to do. Too funny and weird, especially considering our history and the fact that we didn't go to this school at the same time!

I sent an email to Elliot to try and get him and Meryl to go and round up some of the others. I would love to catch up and see what we remember, what we have forgotten and how it all worked out.

My memories of living in Kew Gardens are so strong and made so much richer with these emails and conversations. Elliot Levine is amazing with what he remembers. Are you (and Joel) planning to go to the reunion? It would be great if we could get the whole courtyard to go. Let's send some emails...

hi Debbie,
Very long time since we've seen each other. I'm still in the jewelry business & doing well. Leila, who is now suffering from some dementia, recently fell & fractured her ankle & is currently in NY hosp. Lisa & I are heading over to a rehab facility to check it out later today - heartbreaking.
Lisa , Richard & the boys (now 11 1/2) are all good.
I spoke to Elliot Levine, which was quite bizarre after 43 yrs (ouch!)
if i remember correctly you have a daughter -Diana? Fill me in on what's doing in your life.
