Hi David,
Sure I remember you! For one, I have a really vivid and unpleasant memory of watching you get judo-flipped after class one day and breaking your front teeth on impact ...ouch! I'm sure it was worse for you, but it still makes me flinch. I definitely remember the jawbreaker incident, but as I remember it was someone else, maybe Joey Sobel who had them? Anyway, it's funny that this incident made such a big impression, I'll bet most people who were in that class remember it, even if not sure who the perpetrator was. I also remember you were a good athlete, and very fast runner. I guess you're still at it, too. Good to hear from you!

The one and only Jacquie Schmall painted the first "No Thru Street" on that mess of a hill. It was still there a few years ago when I visited though probably repainted a few times. The hill was somewhat altered as well though I still wouldn't drive anything bigger than a Mini Cooper over it. By the way, Houston has a crap load of hospitals in case you want to live in a place that gets hotter than piss in the summer.

Wow! I think you are the David Neumann I hung out with until my family up and went to Califonia. My first friend and best friend upon moving to the niejghborhood in 1965.

If I found the right David, I just connected with your brother Peter. I am going to be in Somerset Masachusetts from December 15 to the 21st. I would love to see you and Peter while I am out there. I can travel to your area or Peters--whatever works better for the two of you. The only time I would be unavailable is on Wednesday the 17th between 10 and 3:00pm.

I would love to see pictures of your kids and catch up on the last 30 plus years. I have a lot of fond memories of playing football in the big and small court, baeball, etc.

As for me, I am married (9 years) and work at the University of California, Irvine as Registrar and Director of Student Services.

you have a good memory and i keep telling my kids i used to be fast but no believes me. If i remember correctly you moved right before jr high and went out to LI. I did live near Gilma and i think she is teaching ballet now and has a studio. I looked her up on the web. I live in westfield, NJ with 3 children the oldest starting college next year. Hi keep in touch with Aviva who said she ran into you a number of years ago. Nice to hear from you and thanks for reaching out.

I do remember playing spin the bottle, but what I want to know is where were my parents? How old were we? I remember Joey gave me an ID bracelet and that was a big deal at the time.

I have 3 daughters ages 11, 13 and 15 and let me tell you, they aren't playing spin the bottle in my house. At least not that I know of....

Hello David, How have you been. I dont know if my name is familiar but we were in 4, 5 and 6th grades together. How cool were those days. I also have vivid memories of playing spin the bottle with you , Carrie, Jason(what was his last name) Joey, Alice, Aviva and Ilene.My dad still lives in the old house and i love to take my two 11 year old twins back to the old neighborhood whenever i can. Nice to hear from you! Your dad was our pediatrician along with Dr. Bass, etc. We were in a lot of classes together and Peter was friendly with my sister Lynne. Our parents were good friends before you moved. So sorry to hear about Ed......... My deepest sympathies to you and your family. Please give my regards to your parents. I had Mrs. Gunn for first grade; Mrs. Silverblatt for 2nd; Mrs. Riccio for 3rd; Mrs. Adonnizio for 5th and Mrs. Rothburd for 6th. Drawing a blank for fourth grade! It sounds like you're doing well. Hi David! How are you? As I'm planning my son's Bar Mitzvah, I'm thinking about the ones we had. I still remember going to your new house in Great Neck for a luncheon after yours. Please give your parents my regards. I'm reading your postings. You have a good memory!!!

I believe we were in K,1,2,3,4 and 6th grade in the same classes .. lots of years ... you hung out with that PS 164 neighborhood crowd .. I on the other hand lived on the " other side of the tracks " up on Main & Union Tpke and hung out mainly with that crowd. Our center of operations was the Vleigh Park and " the street " across from the Grand Union.

David .. read your recollections of the old neighborhood .. very vivid .... I thought I was the only one to have had the crush on Adonizio .. guess all the guys did ... all those little things like taking the erasors to be cleaned ...etc .. buying rock candy, the candy stores, pizza places, movies on Main .. all see quite prehistoric now ... I recall of course all the names you mention of classmates you hung out with ... Lebhar, Kingsley, Roman ( the " other " Howie ) Strauss, Ludwig, Steiker, Finkelstein, etc ... do you keep in touch with any of these guys? Although I cant quite place your face I do now recall your name more and more and I think we hung out together with that crowd esp around 6th grade I believe ... The old neighborhood seems a long ways away now .. thats for sure.

David .... may or may not remember me ,,,, Howard Rosenzweig ... same class of 71 ... living in Honduras surrounded by banana trees and Mayan Ruinas ... its a tough job but somebodys gotta do it ... I lived up on 79 Ave and Main ... any idea of what happened to the rest of the guys in our class .... I vaguely recall your name, but thats about it ...

Thanks for remembering that, actually i worked my way up to captain of the blue berets which was good training for my position for the last 25 years as head doorman at the Kew Motor Inn.
