Peter- that was funny--- no I didn't make SP- I became wiser with age---- and I'm been working with computers for many years-I will give Joan your Mom's number - I'm sure they'll get in touch-- Where did you live while at PS 164...- I think I have a photo with Terri and your sister at one of Robin's B- day parties-- I'll have to check and send it to you...

Peter-- go to the main page---scroll to the middle---click on PS 164 Tribute---- then once on that page on the top click on Class photos- all thet they have are located there--- go to 1965 4-2 I am 3rd row from the top - 2nd from the right .
Hi Peter--- take a look at 1965-- grade 4-2 I am in the 3rd row from the top- right hand side - 2nd from the right--- next to John Hirshfeld- do you remeber him or his sister Anne? she was a friend of Suzanne's probably in your class as well--- ( that was the only photo I could find of me--- ) I;ll have to look for my old photos and send them to be posted...Yes I think Joan would love to talk to your Mom- so glad to hear Peggy is doing well- its been a trip cathing up with old classmates and friends from the neighborhood---
I am living in Northern California- outside of San Francisco--- I left NY in 1993- got married to an old boyfriend originally from NYC- moved to LA was there for 4 years (--Unfortunately I did not have any children-- you know I am the oldest of 6 , don't you?) We moved up here- got divorced--- and I stayed--- he went back to LA--- I visit NY / or NJ at least twice a year--- all my siblings are back east--- Terri is in Florida now---- my only brother is in LI and I have another sister in Cape May NJ..what made you go to MA?
Peter--- I don't know if you remember me- I believe you graduated with Suzanne--- sister Terri and Robin Schragin were friens with your sister Peggy--- How is she? how is your Mom- I spoke with Joan Schragin today she awas asking about all of you- Joan is another Mother to me- My Mom passed away last year ... How have you been?
well, you've been busy I see. saw your note about almost going to Kew Forest and I almost sent my son there but we decided on a private school in Manhattan, Robert Louis Stevenson. He's graduating now and there are only 12 kids in the graduating class, weird huh. These kids have gone through a lot of stuff and come out exceptional for the most part. TOO personal, reply to jsomeck@aol.com . This pic is from our house in PA as we like to get away from the city too. Unfortunately, 3 teens can't agree on anything and we don't get there too often. I heard about your dad passing and I know how you feel; just lost my mother in Nov. Still raw. Take it easy, Jo
Hi again, Peter---The teachers I had---Kg - Mrs. Goldberg & Mrs. Finkelstein---First - Mrs. Simon, Second--Ms. Posner (was she married????), Third----Miss Schmidt (she was the sister of Mrs. Reville). Fourth--Mrs. Feldman, she was lame, her foot dragged, Fifth--Mr. Edelson (cute little Jewish man)--Sixth ---Mr. William Luhr---well there it is....my younger days, how is your sister, where is she??? what is she upto??? see if she remembers me. I have most of my class pictures, but I do not know how to put them on the website??? oh well....maybe someday---I will be up in Cape Cod--June 27---July2!!! speak soon---regards, CINDY
Turns out I was in your 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 6th grade classes. Do you remember Mr. Gulkin having a nervous breakdown our 6th year? I have very bizarre memories of 164--the teachers were a real cast of characters and many should not have been teaching kids. There's a novel, or maybe a short story, waiting to be written. I wonder if others have similar memories.
Hi Peter
I rmember you from way back We lived on Main St and Union turnpike across from theGrand Union

My sister went to graduate school out here, and then got married to a New Mexican. I used to ivisit for years before I moved here myself. I always wanted to live in a more rural setting.
I worked as a the receptionist on Saturday mornings at the dance school when I was about 15.
Yes, I'm the curly head. Can't believe you remembered.
You asked me what I edit. Well, I do a lot of things with my editorial services company. I copy-edit books and textbooks, write occasionally for magazines and newsletters, fact-check info in magazine articles, proofread and conduct interviews. Basically, I'm a generalist who can't stand routine--doing different things every day keeps me interested.
Nice to hear more about your life, Peter. I am seriously considering going to the reunion in '09. I have a good friend here who was originally from NYC. When we first met almost 30 years ago we found out we both went to PS 164!!! So we are both considering going. It will be fun to bring all these internet connections to life. By the way, I see you have discussions about Vleigh Place. I used to go...and worked (as a teenager) at the dance school there.
I've lived in Placitas (in the foothills of the Sandia Mountains, between Albuquerque and Santa Fe) for about 30 years. In Queens I lived on 76th Avenue, just up the block from the PS 164 playground. It's nice to know other artists evolved from the old neighborhood. And also nice to know that others lived in NM. Thanks for checking in with me.
I do not have a sister but i have a brother who is younger then you who attended 164 and my Uncle attended 164 but he is older then you. Where in Mass do you live? I have a lot of family there and I have spent lots of time in Mass.
Hey Peter, information about the reunion that I was talking about can be retrieved by going onto the main page and you will see P.S. 164 Reunion. I went back to read it and it said June 6th 2009, I guess I must have misread it the first time. I also tried to figure out when I would have graduated, and it would have actually been approximately in the year of 1968, All I know was that I was in 2nd grade in 1964. And I am now 51yrs. old. I think I left after the 5th grade. I believe that my 2nd grade teacher was Mrs. Russell, because I have the only one class photograph hanging in my classroom today. So I took it home to get it scanned and hopefully will attach it to this website. As long as I can figure out how to do it. But I am sure I can get alittle help from my friends. Take care......
HI THERE PETER, OF COURSE I REMEMBER YOUR SISTER...THANKS FOR LOOKING ME UP!!! I SEE THAT YOU ARE IN MASS.---I WILL BE GOING UPTO EAST SANDWICH, MASS---DO YOU KNOW IT???? WE WILL BE STAYING AT A B&B ON THE CAPE...THEN OFF TO A FAMILY REUNION...HOW FAR ARE YOU FROM THERE??? REGARDS, CINDY
Hello, Thanks for the note... walking across the bridge was always fun. NoI don't remember you...I also don't recognize any names from 1964. I just turned 55 on May 13.
hi, you have the wrong arlene. my arlene had jet black hair to her waist and lived in the houses across from school. we were both in the class of '64. bh
Hey I don't remember you. I am 51 years old. And will be 52 in June. Mrs. Russell sounds very familiar. Well keep in touch. I only have one photo from 164 when I was in 2nd grade. Great memories, of my childhood. I use to to live at 79-08 147St. Off on union turnpike. (on the 3rd floor). I pass there all the time, and it brings back memories of the days I use to play with the pink spaulding ball out in the courtyard. There is suppose to be a reunion at P.S. 164 beginning of June. Were you planning on going? Susann C.

I don't think we were in any classes together but your name does sound familiar - was your family friendly w/ Bob & Harriet Levy?

Are you talking about adding your memories to the tribute site, over here?
http://www.patriciaweppler.com/ps164_memories.htm
If so, email me your story and then I will add it to the site. (That site is off my personal URL and only I can add to it.)
If you are talking about something here on this alumni site, then I'm not sure what area you mean (but I think you are referring to the tribute site.)
My email is gizmo@patriciaweppler.com
