Thank you Patricia, I stopped by PS 164 and the old neighborhood a few months ago after a 40 year absence. I even got to go inside my old house on 78th Ave. I didn't go inside the school, but I stood against the schoolyard wall that stiil has stick ball strike zones on it. Some things never change. The old monkey bars are gone as is the handball wall where I played hundreds of times. The old school of red and blue probably made the most enduring impact on my life.
I also echo the comments about a comprehensive facebook group page.
Hi Patricia - I'd like to add my thanks to those who've already posted here. This is a wonderful site, and it was a wonderful idea, and it was wonderful of you to set it up. I've been involved with another site (Classmates.com) for Jamaica High School, but though it's commercial it's woefully inferior to what you built here - no forums, little interaction, etc. I also want to thank you again for helping to organize our reunion, which I attended and very much enjoyed. I've renewed friendships here and even made a new friend I didn't really know back then. It's been great fun remembering.
I would also enthusiastically join a Facebook reinvention of this website, as I still hear from new members joining now and then. I know that's a lot of work, but I'd be willing to help, as I'm sure others would. In any case, my very best wishes and gratitude to you. Take care...
Hello, I wanted to take the time to say "Thank You" for all the work you put into this site. If you do decide to make a FaceBook page, please include me. I think its a wonderful idea. Once again, thanks for all.
Please start a private group on Facebook!! If you have everyone's email- you can find them in FB that way. I dint think you need to be "friends" to invite them to join a private group. Anyhoo. Thanks for doing this. It brought me many smiles and warm fuzzy moments! I can't find the Kindy pic. Btw. But I'm still digging. :-) Marti.
Hi - Have you tried calling the folks at Ning. I have a similar site for my camp and when I called them they said they would honor the old rate. Worth a call if you have not done so already.

Patricia,
$59/month?
That is a lot of money...wish we could move this to a free website, like a closed group on Facebook.
I want to thank you though for bringing back great memories from my childhood via this Reunion Site. It have always wanted to revisit my old neighborhood and my school since we left NY in '63...and it would have never happened, if it weren't for the Reunion you organized with Howard.
Hi Patricia - Yes - my mom still has the knitting store - Sandy's Knit N Needles - going on 37 years. I think yarn runs through her veins! I started a website for her store a while ago - but haven't had the time to maintain it. My dad is well and my parents are in the same apartment! My mom said to please give a big hello to and your mom - only good memories there. My deepest sympathies about your dad.
Your home looks fabulous - the true country life. Always a fantasy of mine to have a home in the coutry - but somehow I think I am a true urban girl - love my manhattan!
Hi Patricia! Yes my mom and dad are Sandy and Danny! Your mom and dad used to live next door to us and when you were born, they moved across the street. Your parents were good friends with mine and your mom was always taking care of me! I have an older sister Donna who also graduated from 164 three years ahead of me, but she thinks this "computer thing" is just a farce and won't last, so I doubt I can get her on this site, but I will certainly tell her about it. You should be applauded for your work here - the site is beautifully done and it is bringing back many names (and faces) to me. I've also broken down and just joined facebook. Sorry I wasn't a member of this site before your reunion.
Dear Patricia, I saw the pic of my kids, yes please do add it for me, THANKS. Jenna did the last one. If you see any pictures from Adam or Jenna's facebook (that is resonably good), please feel free to add them. ( Yes, I still am computer "stupid" I'm lucky that I can do this much without blowing myself and the house up.)
I can't believe i had not known about the reunion!!!! Was anyone from my class (1979) there? I still keep in touch with a handful of my classmates and no one mentioned it???!!!???
My mom is well. She finally moved out of Flushing about 2 years ago.
Hi Patricia!
it was great to meet you too!
Wish we had more time...I didn't get to chat with you...hopefully, next time!
I left NY early next morning to visit my high school/college girlfriend in Boston, but am back safe home now. Thank you again for making this all possible from the P.S. 164 Tribute Site to the Alumni Website to the Reunion.
By the way, I LOVE your house. It must be nice to be able to enjoy the 4 seasons in your area...We don't get all that here in Los Angeles.
Thanks again for planning this reunion. It was wonderful and it brought back so many memories. From moving around I never thought I would see all my old friends again. If we go to Saratoga, we will definately let you know. Check out my Facebook. For now I posted the pictures on there. I need to put them on here.
Hi....From what I am reading here everyone had a great time...I really wish I could have gone. Let me know where on Facebook I can see some photos I am on there too.....I know you did a great job and hopefully we can do it again sometime....Helen
Hi Patricia,
Left NY on Monday after a beautiful weekend and am back in rainy Tokyo. Much easier than I expected. I know people have told you this a million times, but I just wanted to send you a special thank you. I feel like I've recovered a part of my life that I thought I'd lost forever. Great reunion!

Patricia,
I was very sorry I was unable to attend the reunion. I don't know if you and Howie ever got the e-mail I sent about my needing to have surgery and I did not get out of the hospital until Friday- was in icu for 4 days- also in the e-mail
I explained what was needede to order the mugs Were they ever ordered? I wish I had your phone number at the time ... Please write back and tell me all about the reunion. I was very bumbed missing it. Thank goodness we have the web site so we can still all stay in touch. Maybe since all the big pieces are in place from this year we can do another one next year.
Please keep in touch

Hello Patricia,
Thanks for an absolutely wonderful evening. The reunion was pure joy. Getting to see old (and I mean old in a good way) was a truly memorable experience.
These events are a labor of love and difficult to pull off. You did a great job!
Thanks for keeping the spirit of 164 alive. It was a very special time in our lives.
All the best,
Lon
P.S. I now consider us "button" cousins! I hope to wear mine again in another 40 years!!!

I don't mind pitching in if that would help.
Hey Pat
Long time,,,hope you are doing well. $700 bucks a year,,is nothing,,,I am sad to see this site go.
You did an amazing job,,and I would certainly pitch in,,,,,at least 100
or everyone could send one dollar,,,and we would be covered ,,,,, and you would get the commission that you deserve!!
