You and your family look great. Life on the west cost agrees with you.
Yes, that fight, if you could call it that, ended my boxing career early. A good thing because you kicked my ass. I remember that you may have had some boxing lessons from an uncle so I didn't feel so bad.
Long time ago but a dark memory amongst so many good ones. Remember when we beat the 6th graders and marched to Mrs Hoffman's house to tell her.
Could not find an edit button, so I just wanted to mention that the word in the 4th line of my subsequent post "judt" is supposed to be "juet" .............er,,,er,,,,,,,,,,er,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,I mean "just"

Hi, Jerry -- well, I had a feeling; I mean how many other places are there to live in Coconut Creek, anyway? I will definitely let you know when I go down to visit. Glad you had a chance to see Bruce, though -- how long had it been? I saw Mark Adamsbaum in NY -- I don't know, maybe last spring, when I was visiting my son, who was living in Brooklyn at the time and going to culinary school downtown. It was great to see Mark -- it had been something like 40 years, I guess, and he looks wonderful, and pretty much the same.
Hi, Jerry -- I saw in one of your messages to Bruce that your mom lives in Coconut Creek. Is it Wynmoor? That's where my mom is, and I'm going to try and get down there later this winter -- I'm hoping by her birthday in Feb., when she turns 85.
Hi Jerry, Great to hear from you!!! Yes, I certainly remember Camp Monroe. I really had a good time there. I was trying to remember who that captain somebody was in the movies they used to show us once a week in the mess hall. It'll come to me some time.
I read in your post to Bruce that your mom is doing well. Please give her my best. I don't know if you ever heard the story about when your mom and mine were getting their hair done at Cut 'n Color and they both decided to try the same hair-do; a bee hive style that both our dads just hated. I think I was there with them that afternoon and I kind of remember them walking out with these hairstyles that they thought looked so great. Unfortunately, my mom died nearly 20 years ago of breast cancer.
Otherwise, I do enjoy living in Hartford. I wasn't sure I would like it and sort of rolled my eyes when David came home one day--we were living in Manhattan at the time--and asked my opinion of moving to Hartford for a job he was interested in. But, here we are (in West Hartford, actually) and we both enjoy it. There is a lot to do culturally, it's a great town for kids, close enough to NYC to get in when we want, close to Martha's Vineyard which we love, and close to skiing. So we're pretty happy here.
I did live on the west coast for three years our in Eugene, OR. I was in a doctoral program at the time and really loved it. Made some good friends, loved the area. But, found a job back in Pennsylvania and moved back east. Lived in PA for about four years, got married and divorced there, and then moved back to NYC where I met David.
We get out to the LA area from time to time when we visit David's family in Orange Cty. He has a brother in Anaheim Hills, another brother in LA, and a sister in Whittier. We were out last in April so I don't know when the next trip will be but I would love to try and visit with you if we can do that. Your family photo is just beautiful, by the way!!! Take care for now, Adrienne
JERRY ~ I WOULD LOVE TO SEE YOU SOME TIME NEXT WEEK. THE ONLY THING THAT I WOULD CORRECT REGARDING YOUR TERRIFIC MEMORY WOULD BE ENZIOS I WOULD CHANGE TO STELLA D'ORO. OTHERWISE YOU ARE CORRECT ABOUT THE GRET MEMORIES THAT WE SHARED. AS I'M NO LONGER ABLE TO SPEAK (MINOR PROBLEM?!?), I WOULD ASK THAT YOU CALL MY WIFE, FAYE, ON HER CELL PHONE AT 954-495-7905. TO ESTABLISH PLANS. RECENTLY I HOOKED UP WITH MARK ADAMSBAUM, ARTHUR MUCHNICK, DAN HEIMOWITZ, AND BOB GLASS. I HAD ALL OF THEM EXCEPT MARK VISITING ME ABOUT 2 MONTHS AGO. THEY WILL ALL BE RETURNING FOR ANOTHER VISIT IN MID-NOVEMBER. ANYHOW, JERRY, I DO SO LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING YOU!! AVENTURA IS ABOUT 25 TO 35 MINUTES FROM COCONUT CREEK. IT USED TO BE A PART OF NORTH MIAMI BEACH. ALL MY BEST, BRUCE
Hi, Jerry; good to hear from you! Boy, you're not the first to comment on my red hair. Was that always a distinguishing feature of mine, I wonder? I must confess to its being, shall we say, "enhanced" these days, to retain its former glory. Anyway... looks like you've got one beautiful family -- good for you! So what took you out to California?
Diane
Hey Jerry - How great to hear from you and what a beautiful family! I checked my list and you weren't at the 30th reunion, were you? Were we in touch at that time? I'm thinking so but not sure. No -- I'm not related to those people. I've been in Central New York for 36 years, 31 in Syracuse. My wife works with me (www.koenig-adpr.com) and my daughter is a sophomore at Oswego State, my alma mater. Keep in touch. Stew
Jerry, How have you been? You're right, red hair & freckles. But not anymore, mostly grey. Good memory on Little League. It's a little over 40 years. Time flies. So what are you up to in life? Keep in touch.
Mitch Fiedler
Hi Jerry, So nice to hear from you!! It sounds like you're doing great!! I assume after all these years you are enjoying living in CA. What brought you out there? And three kids!! I have only one (although sometimes I have enough aggravation to make it feel like three!!) but he's a cutie. His name is Spencer. I haven't figured out yet whether I will be able to make it to the reunion or not but we'll see. Anyway, Spencer is standing over my shoulder right now and I promised him I would show him our class picture with Mrs. Hoffman. Stew Koenig posted some class photos and when I saw it there I knew Spencer would want to see it. He knows Mrs. Hoffman is the one teacher I hated more than any other!! Take care for now. Adrienne

Hi Jerry,
It is a small world. Corey was a good friend during my PS 164 days, unfortunatley we went to different Junior High Schools. We also had a great time seeing you and everyone else in Flordia. Our love to Sydlee and the kids. Our love to Mom also!

hi jerry.
my name is corey adams and i graduated in 1974. i too live in PV. i just moved here in december of 2007. it's a funny coincidence. i grew up on 76 road and main st and worked at Moo & Brew for a long time. do you remember Moo & Brew? it was where the cleaners was next to the mobile station on 76 ave and main.
it's nice to know there is someone else from flushing in PV. my email address is coreyj62@cox.net.
hope to hear from you soon.
Hi Jerry, Just wanted to say hi and see how you're doing. Looks like you and I joined this site one right after the other. I do think about our group from PS 164 from time to time, especially now that my son is right at that age--11 years old and in 6th grade--where he does all the activities (baseball, tag, and summer camp in particular) that remind me of you and our other friends. Where in CA are you? My husband has family in the LA and Orange County area. Take care, Adrienne (Adey)

We did not go to the reunion but Michael Horny did and has a page on the site.
All the best,
