i'm glad all is well with you. the pics of your family is great. i saw cheryl rohrs about 3 years ago. she was living in bayside and actually a couple of buildings away. she was doing good and is still teaching. she teaches in PS 209 in whitestone. that is great that you are a teacher. if you got that idea from cheryl then you must be a great one.

Wow Ivi,
This is wild! Ellen Goldman found me on facebook and here I am. I lhad such a wonderful experience in elementary school and I am so excited about connecting with old friends. I have a son who just started kindergarten in Queens and I considered trying to get him into PS164. Reading the comments below, I also recall playing school in your basement! What a blast this is! I can't wait to see who else comes out of the woodwork!

Wow isn't this site great! It's real great to share a few moments with people from our youth we have not spoken with in years. I have really not heard from anyone from the PS 164 days until now. But I did see Cheryl Crusco a few years ago. Those 5th and 6th Grade classes with her hold alot of fond memories. I see that you also settled on the Island too. Be well! -Stan

So very nice of you to remember. It was so much fun and a great evening. Now my daughters Helen and Mary Lou are doing the same volunteer work for their kids schools. Sounds like it will be a great reunion for all of you, Mary Lou "Sr".

It's your Uncle Arnie - also a graduate of our beloved P.S. 164 - class of '52. I enrolled in the 4th grade in the spring of '48 - the first year of the school. This goes back so many years that I distinctly remember Moses was actually in my 4th grade class with Mrs. Goldblatt - and she made him shave his beard - or else he had to go to the Principle, Mr. Karow's office.

I have not been on this site for months. When I saw your name I had to write. Where in L.I. do you live? I live in New Jersey for about 9 years. Both my brothers are here also, so it is great for the cousins to grow up together. I am married for 19 years and have 3 children. Twins that are 15 (boy/girl) and a 10 year old daughter. My parents are well and moved here about 1month ago. They had a hard time leaving there friends in Queens. How are your parents. Who do you keep in touch with? I speak to Susan, Ellen,Helane,Mike and Danny. Would love to talk. Vivian

my best friend pre-164 was Abby Gilbert, that's why i asked. She lived on 138th street as did I before moved to 137th. I live near the New Hampshire/Vermont border in Turners Falls, Massachusetts. Most people live in the eastern part of the state. btw, found a picture of me on the site: 1965 Class 6-2 front row 2nd from left. where do you live?
