Hi Robert! I hope you remember me; You Better! Just kidding......Any I wrote to you about 3 weeks ago, but I guess it didn't post? When I saw your mini bio I get very excited, because my daughter Pamela Baird [I was married,ut divorced right after she was born, so she uses my maiden name, she does not even know her father;long story ;He was an abusive alcoholic] I met himwhen he was a big shot on Wall Street. Anyway, she is an RN at Sloan for 3 1/2 years now. She works o the 12th fl Leuk & lymphomiia 20yr olds, and up.She also is attending Hunter Grad. She deciced not to be a doctor because she does want to have a family, and she realizes how tough it is to do it all. I have two sons from another short lived marriage. PJ is 18 & Paul Is 17.I brought them all up completly on my own here in NYC. I live across the street from the WTC for almost 26 years. I worked on Wall Street my entire adult life. That was how I able to bring up 3 children. I did very well, in my career. Bringing the kids up is infinity more difficult than any of thousands of trades, seminars, or anything about my work.[even though I was the woman gov't bond trader, withall the nepotism, antisemtism, and sexua harrasment..............I bet you didn't know that I lived at 141-03 72nd ave; and ttached to my house were the Garfunkels!!! Art's brother Jerry tutored me in algebra when I was at Campbells.His Parenets were the best. He had another brother in the Navy. He would come home preety much, and would have a catch with me in the driveway! Before Sounds of Silence came out they called themselves Tom & Jerry! My parents moved us to CT after my first semester at Bowne. Just one more thing; When I was 7, my older sister was 9,and she died from leukemia. She was diagosed when she was 7. I had to go to those primitive bone marrow treatments. I still have nightmares about it. I think about her every day. My daughters name is Pamels Ellen after her. My mother is Jewish so I bet with my last name you did not think I was. Anyway, I have no idea how my daughter does her job. If it wasn't for all the great kids at PS 164, I don't know how I would have turned out.They are some of my best memories. Hope to hear from you! PS I think I am listed under Victoria Baird

Rob - Glad to see you here. Yes -- your family is beautiful I guess we weren't in 1st grade together but I'm amazed I remember so many in your photo:

Amazingly enough it has been 45 years, but I still have vivid great memories of those days.

You're right, so many wonderful memories of great childhood on our street--it was so safe and we knew almost every face. Halloweens just popped into my mind, no problem with ringing every bell. Do you remember the Higher Flyer ride, Bungalow Bar and Good Humor man Frank? Then there was the fruit guy and the bakery truck....makes it sound like it was out in the boonies, right?
Then of course there were locals like the Simons, and Eddie Levine...and hanging out at Goody's....and fireflies....whatever happened to fireflies??I miss them....
