Harold Schiff's Comments

Harold,

I played in bands with Stanley and Matt Rael through my Parsons JH time. Sometimes Jack Miller would play bass with us. After Parsons I went on to Brooklyn Tech. During my senior year (1970) Stan recruited me back in the band with Matt. I don't recall all the particulars but Matt eventually left the band and we replaced him with Steve Coronell -- a buddy of a friend of mine from Jamaica Queens. Once in the band Steve recommended his friend Gene Kein from Jackson Heights. At first meeting, Stan didn't seem to like Gene. I left the band soon after that but Stan, Gene and Steve went on to form Wicked Lester. That band failed but it did lead Gene and Stan to form KISS.

It's Judy Berk Schancupp, Kathy's friend and your friend when we lived in Michigan. I still talk to Kathy and plan on seeing her soon. Your son must think that you are so cool that you know Stanley Eisen.
How are you? It was great to see your pictures and to see Harold as well.
All is well with us. Tell your wife that I have a horse too. In New York I couldn't have one of those.
We're living in Atlanta, have three daughters, and one horse. Joel is a podiatrist and I work at a Jewish Museum.

How fun that you've kept in touch with Paul Stanley all these years! (That is a great photo of Paul with you and your family.) I was such a KISS fan back in the '70s but it was only when I set this alumni site up that I learned he had been a student there. Maybe you can convince him to attend our big reunion next year! Wouldn't that be fun!

Your name sure rings a bell for me, as do the names you list there. I had Mrs. Farkas for 6th grade. Also have had some contact with Stanley Eisen over the years. I live on Long Island now, in the town of Port Washington.
