There's no special facebook account for the pix - just the 164ers posting them in their own albums. I am going to message the site and ask people who took pix that night to post them over here.
Hi Helen! I was thinking of you the other night as I was roaming the halls of 164. What a shame you couldn't make the reunion as you would have loved being inside the school again! It was a fabulous night. There were lots of cameras going but most of the pix will probably end up on facebook as many of us are over there. Hope things are good for you and the family!

Hi Helen,
I remember some of my classmates (not too many).....I think I only had one birthday party when I was younger (if you call it that) and you were invited to my apartment--we played on pogo sticks. I think Donna Devaney was also there (but I really have a lousy memory-so I can be totally off!!)-I think I was allowed to invite one person and my twin (Debbie) one person--I see we were classmates in the early years--My sister used to keep in touch with Donna-but I haven't heard her mention Donna lately--I'll have to ask next time I speak with Debbie. Love all your photos-my sister Janet just lead me to this site. Thanks for the background music, I do remember that song now!! LOL
Hello my long lost neighbor,All is well with me.My mother still lives upstairs from your old house, and I guess she always will. I go see her once or twice a week. as far as my commute it takes about an hour and 20 minutes. and as far as the kids getting easier, like they say little kids little problems big kids bigger problems. But they are good for the most part.Did I mention Im a grandfather? my grandson is 2 yrs old.You have adorable kids,Im really happy for you.

thanks for the info on Jenny. I can try to locate her other ways online etc.
Sprung was actually our name first. Our mom decided we should have our step father's name (Bruskin) when she remarried in 1972. Steven and I both went back to Sprung as adults

Hi Helen,
How wonderful to discover this site and to hear from you. I have thought of you and your dog Satan many times over the years. Good ol' 136th street is indelibly imprinted in my memory and you are a significant part of that, along with Paul Miller and Craig Lopez. My mind is blown!
In the last 2 days I have just made the decision/ commitment to self-finance my first feature film as a director (I wrote the script a few years ago). We will shoot in December (soon!) on a verrry low budget. I make drama/comedy films. My primary interest is strong characters and good story: values I hope are making a come-back in Hollywood.

Helen,
In one of your discussions you mention your neighbor Alan Resnick. We lived on 136th St too - my brother Steven is in your year. Any idea what happened to Jennifer Joseph?
Sorry Helen for not getting back to you sooner. With the 2 boys i never seem to get a chance to get on the computer anymore. They hog the 2 computers up with there fantasy baseball and IM's to there friends. Anyway, we did have a great time in Florida. I can't believe that it came and went already. We're going to Lake George tomorrow, next week my sister is coming in from CA and she's taking Adam to Philly for a Philly/Mets game and then school starts after that. Yeah!!!
Hi Helen, I am sorry about taking so long to respond. This is such a great site and love to visit it and find out all about some long lost friends...like you. What great photos of you and your family. My sister never did get around to telling me about your message. Also, she gave you the wrong email address. My real one is apatten@comcast.net. It is great to hear from you. Seeing all these familiar faces is really great. Elementary school is the one era in my life that I really don't think about often; that is until recently. It is funny how much people still resemble themselves from earlier years. My life is pretty wonderful. I have been married for 15 years. I have two daughters; Suzanne 11 and Katherine who is 9. I left my first career of corporate HR to work in the school system so I could be more available as a mom. It works for us. I will try to get better at checking my page. Hope to hear back from you.
hi helen - got so busy totally forgot to give andrea your message. so my brain does not fall into the toilet bowl let me give you andreas email...i am sure she will not mind. apatten@aol.com i am sure she would like to here from you.

Hey There
It takes me awhile, but I get around to things. I can't believe the "stuff" on this site and the people I've heard from. But please, be patient with me, I'm not taht good at this stuff yet.
Best Always,
Chuck
Helen - I remember you well, as well as this chicken fat song that you have playing - what a riot. I found this website by accident when one of my students googled me and it led to our fourth grade photo where I wore a green velvet pants suit. Hope all is well.
Helen - Of course I remember you, and yes, that is me in the center of every photo, always the tallest girl. We moved to Long Island after 4th grade, but I always wondered how everyone turned out. Glad to see you are doing so well! Boy, this song brings back memories. Deb
That's when we'll be there!!!! We're going from June 28th - July 5th. We're staying in a condo right near Sea World, so if they're going to be anywhere near there we'll HAVE to hook up somehow!!
Hey Helen,
We took the boys on NCL in July as "moving up" gifts! They had a blast and keep asking when we're doing it again. It's the way to vacation!!! We're going to boring Florida this year for vacation, but then again as long as we're away does it really matter where we go? LOL
I can't believe how this site has taken off!! I'm reading names of people that I haven't seen or even remembered... My mom is blown away when I read her some of the blogs and she keeps telling me to blog about the old neighborhood and how much things have changed since we were little!
Hi Helen,
It's good to see you as well and your lovely family. I still see Howie Laufer quite often and it's funny because I actually hadn't meet him until high school. Looks like we're all reunion bound.
Great to see you and some of the old face's on here. Only thing is , it make's me feel old and we know that cant be true. I just saw Ralfeal 2 weeks ago , but it was for a sad occasion.
I moved out to long Island so im not too far from home . Sounds like you doing great out there.
Oh, I just got off the phone with Dave Levin.
Im helping him move to Bayside on Sat. I will tell him about this site and to join.
Take good care.

Nothing happened to Ralfeal. Just saw him at a momorial for one of our old freinds. He looks exactly like he always did.
