Hi there Andy! Thanks for making the connection, because I did remember the Tivoli name, but I wasn't sure if it was you or Alan I used to play with. Which of you is married to Carol? Talk about a small world: Carol Tivoli was a student of mine at the University Without Walls at UMass-Amherst, and we somehow made the connection ("You grew up in Queens? So did my husband - whereabouts?"; "He went to PS 164? You're kidding me!").

One more question: do you remember Bruce Berkowitz? He found me online a couple years ago, and we corresponded a bit, sharing memories about Mitch Schorr, stickball, and Willie's. I'll try to get him to join us on this site too.

Thanks, that cement playground did me good. I was on the Queens college swim and track team for a year when I was in graduate school. It was pretty funny being the only Jewish girl.

Haven't seen Pilcer in 30 years but my sister, Alice's friend, Wendy, just saw him in Israel. Yes I'm still in Albertson and no I don't remember you at my wedding but things were popping then. I liked what you wrote about all the games you guys played. I remember watching you guys try to hit it over the fence and the stickball games. It was good times
