Hi again...continuation of my last entry...I 4got that Elayne's nickname was Cookie...until you just mentioned it. I remember Karen Gang's name, somewhat...but can't picture her. I'd probably recognize her, if I saw an old photo.
I have 2 children, (a boy 18, and a girl 23).
I don't remember Barbara, but since she was a good friend of your's back then , I'd probably recognize her, if I saw her old photo. How special that you're both such good friends, after all this time. What's going on with Elayne...how's she doing?
I never knew about the reunion...how great that it was held at the school....hope it's held there again, next time.
Now that I'm on this site, I guess I won't be missing the next one. When was the actual reunion?

I remember Joel Z., and it's so cool that you and Elayne T. are still friends. I've lost touch with everyone, however, thru facebook, I'm reconnecting with people. It's fun. I hope to get my kids to transfer my facebook picture, to this site, soon.

Wild how you straightened your hair, and it just stayed like that. No coloring, too? You must have "bionic" hair, that's all I can say! You look wonderful. Who do you still see from the "hood...incase, I know them? What kind of dogs do you own?....4 of them....sounds like fun.
I live in Woodbury...you're in Hollis Hills? I'll try to get my kids to add a photo of me...I'm pretty bad with this type of technology...don't know how I managed to post my dog's photo. I remember you had a sister, Bunny. I also remember that Elaine T. lived nextdoor to you, or very nearby. Do you keep intouch w/her? What reunion are people talking about? Take care :)

It has been awhile since I went onto this site. Yes, I remember you and Cookie. I can't believe your Mom still lives in the neighborhood. It has certainly changed. We pass my old house every so often, and I can't believe that was once my home. Where in Westchester is your son stationed?

News of your sister's death hits my core. For many years, she really was my closest friend and a really really nice girl. Looking at your photo, I do see your mother and it reminds me of how much I loved being in her home. I spent many a day and many a sleepover there because there was such a warm and lovely feeling there. I look forward to 'meeting' you again -- you were just a little kid. Please share my nice remembrances with your mom. And, any old photos would be a treasure to see. Amy

Hi Arlene, sorry it took so long to get back to you. I forgot about this site for awhile and just revisited it after a family reunion today. I would love to know how Bunny is doing. I feel like I grew up in your house for several years and have just about lost touch with most everyone. It would be great to have a catch up. The photos of your classes are so sweet. Hi Arlene, I had spoken to Barbara a while ago and then lost contact again. Glad to hear that you guys are still best buds. I still keep in touch with alot of my friends from back in those good old days. Sometimes, I think about how my children will never know the kind of lives that we lived. Hi Arlene---Although our paths may have past---I must say, the class pictures are so incredible...now, I am (almost) 52, and I do have many of my class pictures...just one problem I do not know how to get them on the web site...for that matter ANY WEB site!!!!! Question...are you Hillary and Cliff (I think that was his name) sister???? If so, your mom was my girl-scout leader, if you are not, then I guess your name was a popular one...I am living in Forest Hills, and see that you are still a Queens Gal---good to know!!! It's sp strange that after al these years speaking to people you actually thought many times and wondered what happened to them! You included:)
There is no such thing as marrying late, you married when you find the right person!
The area is different! A true religious enclave at this point, but the houses have grown with the times there. My Mom's house looks like a dwarf these days!
We never left Queens, but I work near Port Washington and it is a lovely area too.
I am surprised you don't still play the drums. Cookie sent me something she found on you a few years back and I pictured you still in the music business.

Very nice to get your message. Of course I remember you! If Cookie is Eilene/Elane? Teman, yes she is a distant relative (I think our grandfathers were cousins) but I only knew her from PS 164. I remeber her as a very sweet, nice person, but I lost touch with her after leaving 164.
Glad you are doing well. Nice pic of you and your 'boys'. I married late (when I was 40) and have young kids (10 and 8 come August and September). I lived in Kew Gardens (not hills but KG proper near Lefferts Blvd and Austin ST.) for many years. When I got married we found a nice apartment in that area and we lived there until 1996 when we bought our home here in Port Washington. I love it here and the schools are great, and I have an easy commute to work (Wall St. area). I left the music biz in 1982 and I don't miss it, though I still play my drums now and then when my kids let me.
Not too long ago I took my kids to see the street where I lived (78th road near Vliegh Pl) and the park there, as well as PS164. They got a kick seeing where I grew up. I was glad to see that the area looked nice--different but nice.

Nice to read that you and Barbara stayed friends all these years.
