hi Neal.
I saw your post to Paul about putting Uncle Joe back together and you are looking for Jack Miller. I worked for Jack at Moo&Brew from the day they opened until they sold out. I still keep in touch with Jack. I saw something written about him once in relating to his guitar playing. I think someone interviewed you about Paul Stanley in his early days, actually when he was Stanley Eisen.
Talk to you soon.

Hi there Neal---Yep--Paul Stanley, how I remember him from 164---I am just a weeee-bit behind yu in years (51), but Paul lived on 75 Road, and I lived on 76th Road. Not only was Paul in an earl band, but so was Art Garfunkel's cousin Louie Perlman, and somehow they all played at Queens COllege---Battle of the Bands---my XXXXX husband played with Louie and Paul---(Stanley Eisman), but he went to P.S. 154 --Donny Schiowitz---and now---Louie Perlman is somewhere serving time ....did you know him????? Well I can go on and on with Jewish Geography, but that was what Kew Garden Hills was all about---once-upon-a-time....bye for now, please take care, CINDY

Hi
Yes I do remember you. I don't think anybody could have good memories of Mrs Goldblatt. I remember her throwing a chair. I also don't have the best memories of Mr Edelson. Unfortunately, to be perfectly honest the man was a child toucher.
I live in Dix Hills and have been married for 27 years. have 4 children 2 boys 26 & 23 and 2 girls 19 & 16.
M husband & I drove around the neighborhood this past December. I enjoyed growing up there.

Regards,
Joan

Hi Neal,

I remember you also, although we weren't really friends. I am curious as to when you started playing drums with Stan.

His truly FIRST band was in Junior High with guys all from P.S.164. If we had a name I don't remember it. Stan was our lead singer. He didn't play an instrument back then although I did teach him a couple of licks on my guitar! Matt Rael was the lead guitar, I was rhythm guitar, Arvin Mirow was our drummer, Jay Singer played keyboard and Eric London played bass. Not bass guitar, but a real bass he was learning to play in the orchestra at Parsons (I played viola).

We would take turns rehearsing in each others houses except for his because he lived in an apartment. It drove my mother crazy! We had ONE gig. There was a "Lindsay for Mayor" campaign office on Main St.in 1965 near the Post Office and I had been hanging out there. They were having some kind of rally one time and we volunteered to play.

After Parsons, Jay and I went to Bowne, Stan went to Music and Art, Eric and Arvin went to Stuyvesant, and Matt was still at Parsons. So that was the end of the band.

A few years later, I ran Into Stan on Main St. I was in from Buffalo on a college break and asked him how he was doing. He told me he had just formed a new band and they were going to cut an album. I wished him luck and shook his hand.
That band turned out to be KISS. The rest is history!

I have seen him numerous times over the years when he has been in Detroit. It was fun to introduce him to my son at his concert last year. Check out our picture on my page.

hi Neal.
i saw it about a year ago. jack was a character. I worked for the guy so i would know. he had a tarantula named tony in his forest hills apartment back in 1976. i know the date because that is when he had his first vette.
it's always something good to talk about that we knew Kiss before they were Kiss. Jack introduced me to Paul one day. That was a thrill.
I heard that Paul was at Wentworth Galleries in Roosevelt Field. I also heard that you just could not go in and say hi to him. anyway, I am in California now. Maybe he will be out here one day. it's funny but my sister is dating a guy who grew up with Ace Freeley. they were good friends in the Bronx.
good talking to you.

hi Neal.
I think I read an article that you submitted. It was about Paul and Kiss during the early years when they were called Uncle Joe's. I saw in the article that you mention Jack Miller as well. It was funny reading. Iused to work for jack and Eddie at Moo & Brew from the day they opened until the day they sold out.
Do you recall the article too?
