warren,
for some reason i seem to remember (if i'm correct) you usually wearing that black kind of (somewhat "western style") tie that crossed with a snap button in the front. you had very dark hair in a crew-cut or semi-crew. of course this could be wrong. I was friends with Kenny Plotnick and Jeff Modelin. my 2 best friends were Barry Wertheim who seems to have dropped off the face of the earth and David Mortished whom nobody at 164 would know because he attended the United Nations school. we lived on 137th street between 73rd ave and 72nd rd. i have alot of posts and forum stuff on the site with memories - 2 of them deleted by site administrators apparently because they were too blunt.

Warren,
Do you know what happened to Mrs. Simms? I know we were so young then that we probably didn't even think about keeping track of our teachers. I wonder if she was at school for a long time. Just an old mind wondering....
I meant that you seem to know and remember a lot of people from the old days who have joined the site (not necessarily been in touch with them all these years). Well, you were there for 7 years compared to my 4 years out of which Kindergarten was very much of a blur. When I read up on the Discussions/Forums/Comments, I really wish we had stayed on for a few more years.
Warren,
Seems like you know everyone who went to PS 164?
Why do you know them all?
Wish we didn't have to move back to Tokyo when we did...I feel like I missed so much great moments...:-(
Hey Warren,
I saw the picture and I wouldn't have recognized him in a million years. Guess not everyone ages like you and I. I'm off to Cali for a week. Will get in touch with you when I return in mid June. Go Big Brown. Saw recent article and they mention Forego and I thought of you. You always had a thing for geldings.
Hey. Looks like that Hoshi girl in your class had a sibling that graduated from 164 in 1960. Man, I played on this tonight. A lot of the people live right here near me, Jerry Cohen lives about 10 miles and Larry and Michael Schulman live about 30 minutes, between me and my folks. Small world and loving this. Achubda.
Hey, all these people and you you did not tell me, Zitnitsky, Ebner. You suck. Bart's mom lives in Tamarac where my folks live. Ebner was in Coral Gables right near me. Call you tomorrow.
How the heel are you?? So you're responsible for this!!! But you didn't call me did you!! (only kidding). Anyway, kudos to you for spreading the word. This is great and within 3-4 days it's been pretty cool to communicate with so many old friends already. So, I do thank you!
I was intouch with Allison and Michael for awhile and then we lost touch. I'll contact her directly, but I'm looking forward to the 40th anniversary tour of Jethro Tull this year - unreal! It sounds like they are doing well, as it does for you as well.
How is the Comm R/E market in NYC these days. I know it's a market unto itself but are you seeing any signs of slowdown? LA's been holding up pretty well, but I think the shit will hit the fan over the next 9-12 months. Too much building and capacity for a slowing economy.
It sounds like you're still in touch with Zivo. How are your parents? My Dad passed away in 1986, the year my youngest daughter was born, and my Mom is in Tamarac, Fl.
Anyway, take care and give my best to all. Stay in touch - Bart
Warren,
Thanks for the welcome. I spotted your name and Allison's, along with all the rest of the neighborhood delinquents we used to hang with!
My sister lives in Westchester County. My dad is of course in Florida in Ormond Beach, north of Daytona Beach.
I stopped to see Bev Zivotovsky a few months ago when I was driving back from an assignment in Coral Gables. She told me all about your family too!
I only just found out about this website from a friend. Pretty cool.
By the way, you didn't work for Burger King because of your name, did you?! And my house still has lots of electronic gadgets, just like way back!
Take care,
Jeff
All the siblings are fine--- ( there were 6 of us) My brother Jimmy the youngest is a Lt in the FDNY he's 40 now.... has 3 beautiful kids boys are 9 and 7 and his daughter is 3 they live in Westbury... My Dad passed away 9 yrs ago and my Mom passsed way last March... I'm in California 15 yrs divoirced no kids..
Yes it;s me... How are you>? How is your sister? Who do you stay in touch with? I am in touch with Donna Frankel, Caren Munsky and Randy Rosenblum... do you remember them?
Warren-remember you guys as well. Do you remember all my cousin's? Not sure if we'll make the reunion, Mom's not doing too well in Fl. We lived across the court from the Schragin's. Robin was my best friend. I see Suzanne in Forest Hills once and awhile, don't know her email though. Donna
Thanks for the ballplayer comp's. I have a brother Perry (a year older), he lives in NC. I know Eddie Klammer (he was good friends with Stanley Stebbner. Is he doing well??? Did you know Mike and Jeff Schwartz? Donnie Frankel? Scott Yost? Kerry Englander? Michele & Joseph Bucari (spelling?)? Claire Cogan?
Kevin, Billy & Richie Cahill? Jimmy Lovelace? Oh, by the way,
when I started at Parsons JHS, I was introduced to the Pensy Pinky. The locals would play handball with them (sometimes stick a pin in them to take away the great bounce. I talked Dottie into selling them at the candy store. The spalding was horrible.
Of course you remember when Rocco's following would play softball on Sundays? Did you know Danny Kaufmann, his brothers Bill and Kevin? Unfortunately Bill passed at a very early age. Fumio Hoshi and Earnest Stock were classmates of mine.
I saw them on the site. This is a blast. I lived on 78th Ave, between main street and Dotties. Playing stickball in the garage alley was a trick. Where did you live? I heard Queen of Peace is closing it's doors. Be cool and send some rain my way (42 days without).
