Hi Ellen, you look great too! Do you remember Kim Greenberg? She and I and Lisa Wartur used to play in the alley in back of my house. That little slope seemed like a mountain to me at the time. I went back to that house last year and was standing outside of it when two young girls walked by and started to go inside. I told them that I used to live there, and they invited us in! What a trip! It was hard to believe that I was inside and seeing a glimpse of my past! Where in New Jersey do you live?

How are you? I hope you remember me. I can't believe you're not eight anymore! You look great btw. After reading that you play the violin and that your children love music as well, I decided I had to share this with you... .

I'm not sure what year it was, maybe 5th grade, Sothenthal's class perhaps. During a break, I was sitting at my desk quietly singing the Beatles' song "Nowhere Man" to myself. You were sitting behind me, listening. When I turned and noticed you, I was surprised and a little embarrassed so I stopped. But you said "That sounds nice." It was a very sweet moment that has stayed with me for almost 40 years. I think only a real musician would be so attuned. (I've learned to play the bass and have had a lot of fun with music over the years myself.)

It's been an extremely hectic couple of weeks (end of the semester madness), so it's taken me a while to get here and to get back to you. Once the semester ends and the Holidays are behind us (not that I want to rush them!), I look forward to spending more time on this site. Hi Ellen, Thanks for responding so quickly. Do you remember Barbara Mell? She lived up near where you lived and was in my vintage! Also the Applebaums must have lived across from you, as well as Carolyn Koppel. Remember any of those names? I also read your bio and saw your pictures. Very nice!

My daughter is just three-years-old. I'll have to find some pictures to post.

Marc is doing well. We both moved out to California a long time ago, and get back to NY only once or twice a year. He lives about an hour south of me (in Orange County) and runs a hospital there. I'll send him this link. Oh, I also remember you putting together a school project with Marc in our basement - a big report about drugs and addiction?

Yes, I'm Marc Friedman's "kid" brother. Didn't you live down the block from us? You look exactly the same! I seem to remember you dressed as a cat for Halloween one year.

Yes I have many fond memories of playing in my basement and backyard with you and taking piano lesson s from your dad.
