When i used to ride my bike past your house ,it was usually very early in the AM after my LI Press paper route.....i dont think your parents would have liked me ringing the bell , or hollering at the window.......

HI Barbara, Im not dancing as much as i would like, still enjoy it very much. My daughter dances, tap is her specialty. Not only do i teach 3rd grade, i also teach 2nd and 6th. I became a science teacher with art as my backround. Would you believe i taught at Ps 164 for 6 months. The school has a great art room. Im at PS 219 for the past 11 years. I love it. Yes , being a teacher is just like acting and its a challege everyday. The kids today are nothing like we were. As for Progressive Dance , I followed them to Union Tpke and 164 th, then down to Utopia . Debbie Haun was my teacher, we stayed together untill I had my first child.
Glad to know all is well with you and yours. Keep in touch.Im a grandma now 2 boys and a girl due June 30th. I will try to post some pictures of my family. Stay well, Cindy

I have kept in touch with a number of my old friends.
I am married for about `19 years with 1 son....He goes to Williams college in Mass.
I remember riding my bike to your apt alot of times, just hoping you would come outside......

i remember mrs. bromberg had very red hair and she yelled at us non-IGC kids during assembly (probably annoyed we weren't smart/paying-attention as much as her class). She once showed a short film during assembly starring Frank Sinatra with a mix-race group of kids talking about how not to be prejudice/racist. she had a very lecturing persona as i remember.

p.s. - for one year I was in the "G" class which was 2nd after IGC (Mr. Gulkin 6th grade 1964/65)

but how many people remember that you were Olivia, as opposed to Oliver, in the glee club

Thanks for the compliments! My 24 year old daughter went to Cosmetology School and is currently starting her own business doing hair and makeup at your home for weddings, sweet 16's etc. She was thinking of moving to L.A. to get into the business there, but she isn't that aggressive. My cousin who's wedding we are going to in L.A. does makeup for the movie/TV industry. The wedding was supposed to be in Malibu but they cancelled the original place after the fires and I don't know where it is now. The Hotel they booked is the Luxe on Sunset? My parents still live in Queens. I moved out to Long Island in 1983 and have been here ever since. You should get Kathy and the Nancy's to join and you should all post pictures. I'd love to see if I would recognize all of you. I'm pretty amazing at remembering faces. Names...not so good. I saw Cheryl Ringler in Manhattan years ago and she couldn't believe I recognized her as she walked by. I probably hadn't seen her since she was 9. What is Nancy Goldstein doing? We used to be pretty close. If any of you are ever in NY I would love to see you. I'm going to be in L.A. on April 5th for a wedding, and then will drive up the coast.

Philip Grossman lives on Long Island and I believe is a chiropractor. I haven't seen him but a friend of mine is good friends with him and sees him all the time. Freddy Kasner married a wealthy older woman and moved to Port Jefferson many years ago. He was also a chiropractor but I believe he retired years ago. Somehow I think he may have gotten divorced. Butch/Harold I have no idea about. David Bayard I was friends with through High School but lost touch after that. Lots of very familiar names. Keep them coming.

Hopefully you remember me. I read your profile it it seemed like I was there every step of the way. Haven't seen George Jablove in 40 years but Renee Hochman lives nearby and I see her on the Jewish Holidays. I wonder whatever happened to Kathy Farkas and Cindy Brodsky? I Believe Marc Diener is an attorney in LA. My guess is he's a good one. Do you know him? Did you know Jerry Beck? I saw him on TV last year and I think he's on the west coast too. We could certainly do A LOT of catching up. I saw other Perlmutters on the site and told my brother that I would love to hear from you... and here you are! I hope you write back. I feel like a kid again!
