Hi Owen, it's Debbie Gerson (Levy). How have you been? I can't believe that I came across this site. Some memories feel like just yesterday!

I've been well. I just found out about this site today and I have had so much fun checking everybody out. I am still in Queens, working in Manhattan. I am a social worker in Newborn Intensive Care at Columbia Presbyterian. I lost touch with most elem and JHS friends after my family moved to Long Island in 1977. A few ended up at Binhamton with me... Jeffrey Gross, Elliot Edelman. What about you? How did you end up in FL? My email is bruskin@nyp.org

How have you been? I'm happy to hear your're doing well. You look great. Do you remember me? I used to hangout with Robin Brown? We lived by Jewel Ave and used to hangout out with all you guys by Vleigh Place and Freedom Square. I remember when you went out with Tina Lesser. Whatever happened to Eddie, Louie, Paul , and Chris? I used to live on the east coast of Florida in Hollywood, Hallandale, and Dania for like 10 years. Moved back to NY like 15 years ago. My whole family still lives in Florida. This website is great! I'm happy to talk to old friends on here.

Wow I just found this site today and it has brought me back to the days at 164 and our Neighborhood around Vleigh Place. I hope you remember me I lived on 78th Road and hung out at Vleigh and we played CYO ball together for years. I'm married for 19 years with three teenage kids 51, 13 and 13 (yes twins) and live out on Long Island - Massapequa. Owen, Good to see you found this site. I remember tons of stuff. I remember you started shaving when you were like 10. I am still pissed that you through my banana seat bike over the metal railing next to the stickball court. I will always remember when your father kinda saved my life when I fell backwards off that same banana seat bike and cracked my head open and you dad held a towel to my head till the police car rushed me to the hospital. I'm sure there are some good memories in there somewhere.

Joe is doing well, he has a 12 year old son Nicholas (good ball player). The rest of the family is good. There are nine grandchildren now, so holidays at Mom's are a bit crowded :) -but always alot of fun! How is your family doing? How's Ricky?

I really haven't been back to the Neighborhood in a while but went to a reunion at Rocco's my brother Anthony & sally along with Anthony Randazzo bought it they had a little reunion I saw Eleen Lane . But have been Busy with Work and the Family . Hope all is well with you and your Family . Hey Owen! How's it going? It has been way too long since we've talked. How are the kids and Laura?

I've been in Delaware for about 15 years now. I've been married for 9 years and have two wonderful sons, Joshua, 7 and Justin, 4. They are very active and keep me moving. I am now working towards my Early Childhood Montessori teaching certification...which I hope to finish in another year. Working with preschoolers is so much fun. We have a blast!

Mom and Dad are still in Gastonia, North Carolina. Dad is turing 80 this year. Can you believe it? They are still as active as ever. Donna is living in East Rockaway and Deidre is living in Northport.

Hope all is well. What is Paige and Ricky up to? Send my hellos. Keep in touch.

How are you? How's the family? Do you remember getting busted smoking in the stairwell in Hillcrest by the principal? We had to go to the dean (can't remember his name, but he was cool), and you kept saying "she wasn't smoking, she's Jean Chiffriller's sister". (as if that would mean I could do no wrong). I don't know if you remember that, but it was pretty funny!

Thanks for your note. I hope and your family are well. I see Paige when I visit my mom. In fact, I will be in Queens later this week. I might see her walking her mutt. I miss your parents; they were a fixture in the n'hood. And, of course, I will always miss you and Ricky. As you know, the n'hood has changed greatly over the years, especially old neighbors who have moved on--physically and spiritually. My grandmother passed away late December at 93. She struggled for a year. Sad. She was a fixture in the n'hood for years. My mom is still recovering from serious surgery from over 2 years ago. Her spirits are better now. She sound like her old self. She also had to deal with her mother who was not easy to handle. Double load of stress, which has eased now. Give my best to your family. Cheers, Howard

I think the last time I saw you was at the Ritz in the early 80's? How the hell are you? I think you and I were good until we got to 7th grade. I still remember hanging out in my garage and other stuff that I won't mention online! lol

My Uncle lives in Newport Richie near Tarpon Springs. Is that where you are?
