Howard, it has been a long time. I have to tell you, I wish my kids could see how we played in your court football and baseball. I ran into Alan Resnick and asked about you a few years ago. Nothing but good memories. You had a great mom who treated all the kids with lots of respect. I can still remember playing tackle football against the Falcon Boys and beating them. Lots of good times. Your hair is shorter (but who am I to say anything), but you still look the same. Maybe when you come back you can arrange a football game (just kidding). Dan
Eric,
I'm watching a tribute to Paul Simon on PBS right now and as I watch/listen, I've googled Belle Simon, and came up with Paul's bio. His address was listed in Kew Garden Hills, though they got it wrong and wrote it as Forest Hills, but what really got me was the Mrs. Simon passed on only a year and a half ago. I was telling my husband she was old way back when.....also, PS 164 was mentioned, as the school he attended. Just thought I'd share with someone who can identify with my own memories, though we were very young and I can't speak for you, but I really had no idea in 1st and 3rd grades, who Paul Simon was...alright, enough for now...take care...Adrienne
Hi Eric,
Yes, I think they made us hold hands....you're right...and you may very well have seen me at the library at QC. I'm in the 15 yr program. My son asked me if he's going to finish college before me. At this point, because I have so much going on in my life, I'm going to finish my MA in 2 more years (hopefully), for mere personal gratification. I mentioned to my brother about this 164 thing and he is very interested. He's friends with Vivian Strauss's brother, Jeff, among others. Alright, I have to run. Happy Holidays!
Enjoy your family!
Adrienne
Eric Sterling!
How have you been? And do you remember me? Considering we were probably the two shortest people in the class, which meant we probably always lined up next to each other, I would imagine you do. I didn't stay through sixth grade; fourth was my last. I wore these god-aweful granny glasses and I think we went to Hebrew School together, too, before I discovered the concept of cutting. Anyway, I look forward to hearing back from you. Take care. And have a wonderful holiday season.

How have you been? How's the Old South treating you? I have a good friend from grad school who teaches at U of Montevallo and lives in B'ham (I visit him every summer--10 years this summer), and another one, a soon-to-be Ph.D. historian and his wife who got a job at UA-Huntsville. Maybe I'll find a job in your great state? An interesting place.
What have you been working on lately? Say hello to your parents and Sheldon for me. I occasionally get back to the old n'hood (4x/year) to visit my mother and the few amigos who still live there. The neighborhood has really changed! Take care.

Hi Eric, thanks for the message. It's great to hear from you and I do remember those games. You were a little bit younger but a very good athlete. Also if you remember your father used to come down and pitch once in awhile. How are your folks, please send my best to them they were always very nice to me.
It's a small world and I work with someone from the old neighborhood named Andrew Wexler. He was probably closer to your age and I didnt know him growing up. He says you guys hung out a lot. Tell Sheldon I say as well, cant believe we couldn't maintain that small yard and kept him employed all those years.
Hi Eric, I remember you & of course Sheldon who was my age/class. I rememember your short red haircut. I remember playing in your basement, i think it was pool wasnt it ?

Hey Eric,
All is well here. Married, got a 3 year daughter and live in North Flushing/ Whitestone. I think of you every Feb when spring training starts and you got your shot with the Orioles. And of course, thanks for helping me with the QC English exam when you were my tuter.
Hi Eric,
Thanks for the email. I'm pretty good! I've lived here, by the Jersey Shore, for the last 20 years. I really like it except that like all of NJ, the taxes are brutal. Whenever I go to my parents house I always think of our games! They were a blast!

Yes. I had an email conversation with Michael, about 4 years ago. I was trying to form a reunion for Gila Cohen's Hebrew School Class -- another thing that I'm sentimental about! It didn't work out, though. I believe that Michael is a physical therapist or a massage therapist...something like that. I think he is still in NY, is married, and maybe has a kid. Sheldon! That's right! Now I remember your brother! Do you know what ever happened to some of the Jamaica kids, like Miriam McGregor (she was so lovely), and Lisa Granderson? Did they go on to Hillcrest with everyone? What about all those other people who moved away before I did, like: Ivan and Marc Million, Ellen Klein, Kent Suzuki, Chisako Mitsumatsu, Giselle Rolando. Anyone know anything about them?
Hi Eric!
Yes, I remember you, too! You were a cute little guy with closely cropped brown hair. You were not in my immediate classes, I believe, but I do recall walking to school together, sometimes. It's amazing how elementary school can leave you with such lasting impressions, isn't it? It's a truly formative experience. Who are you still in touch with, from P.S.164? What's it like, living in Montgomery? My parents moved to the Philadelphia area to be closer to me, just like yours moved for you. It's the smartest idea in the world. I was around to help care for my dad, while he was dying, and now I'm only a mile away to help my mom, who isn't well. I got my brother and his family to move to the area, too, but that only lasted a few years. They now live in Dallas. Hey, didn't you have an older brother?
Hi Eric,
It's vivian strauss. How are you? How is sheldon? I live in N.J. with my husband and 3 children. My parents are well and moving near me this month.
