hi cindy the prettos are fine we are in colo now but will return to ny next week life after retirement is great have 2 grands with laurence the rest is the same richie
Hi Cindy. Sorry for the delay in getting back. I travel a lot and spend most of the summer in the mountains of Colorado. So after selling a lot of toys, and after being a city planning consultant, and after having a computer business - I am now a sculptor and a vendor or stone sculpting supplies (2sculpt.com). I travel to U.S. cities to sell and to Europe annually to buy. I just couldn't keep away from retailer (genetics). I live in Kansas of all places in the University town of Lawrence: an oasis in a backward sea. Parents are now in Santa Cruz, California near Nancy and Roy. And you...? Myles
Hi Cindy, So wonderful to reconnect after all these years. You look exactly the same as that adoable little girl that lived across the street. I just can't believe it. After Corey contacted me, so many names came rushing to me. LouAnn and Eric Reinken, The Frankels, The Princes, The Schachters etc. Do you know whatever happened to any of them? I feel I am in such a unique circumstance, being a 164 graduate and then having my children attend the same school. My memories span two different generations. Both as a child and then a parent in the same building. We all have such wonderful memories. Even some of the teachers, like Mrs Finklestein and Mrs.Simon were the same.
I now am a grandmother of six; I live in East Williston, N.Y. and Melbourne Fl. I look forward to speaking with you and catching up. Give my regards to your parents.
Hi Cindy and Jay - I am Arden's neighbor in Park Slope. We discovered that we had Kew Garden Hills and PS 164 in common several years gack. Our boys, Daniel and Eli, are about 6 months apart and were friends when they were younger. Both went to Berkeley Carroll for middle school. I live on PPW and 1st Street. I ran into Arden last week while I was on my way to work and she was returning from the gym and told her Cindy was interested in connecting.
yes I am Arden's brother. I will pass on the information to her. She still lives in NY, Park Slope Bklyn. If you want you can look her up on facebook, she loves hearing from old friends.
Hi Cindy - I work at Nielsen as the Group Production Director (we make the magazines) and have met your lovely daughter who turned me on to the site. It's been great fun connecting with a few classmates from the class of '62, especially the anecdotes about Mrs. Simon (I had her as a 1st grade sub at what became Campbell, and then in 5th grade). I have so many associations with her and some with her son, not to mention that my younger son worked at a tribute to Simon & Garfunkel just a few weeks ago, and he was (guitar) playing Paul's music when I walked in the door tonight. I also had Mrs. Schmidt for 3rd grade, and had to recite those awful documents and see the Living Desert movie over and over. I visited the neighborhood quite a bit visit in recent years when my dad's health was failing. My husband and I drove by the school I hadn't seen in close to 50 years...what a feeling! The neighborhood sure has changed. Thanks for helping me make the connection. Best of luck with the upcoming festivities (I know it's complicated - I've been there). Berryl
I hear that you are teaching but please feel free to fill in the details. As for me and in a nutshell: I'm living in PA, happily married and with that came a stepdaughter and a granddaughter and lots of friends. I am working as a child psychologist and running to NY every other week to take care of my parents (who still live on 76th Rd).
Cindy,
Enjoy your visit in Florida and say Hi from me. Remembering and really TRYING to remember so many things from 40+ years ago is fun / odd / scary / all of the above. Every so often I wonder what my parents were thinking of at the age I am now. Last week I went into Manhattan by Long Island Rail Road (to run a race in Central Park so I could qualify to run the NY Marathon next year (!?!) and pointed out Forest Hills where I have an apartment to my friend as we passed by. When I first moved there I remember only one small store (on the corner of Ascan Ave and Austin St) where I bought the Sunday Times and bagels since nothing else was open. Quite a bit different now. I read that they are planning on doing work at the playground near PS 164 on Park Drive East. I havent driven through in a while but boy the memories sure do flood by! I lost a lot of photographs (and a lot more besides that) a few years ago when I had a flood in my basement so my memories will have to do instead of relying on photographs. Now tell me if my memory is correct - did you sit close to the window towards the back of the classroom? I dont remember where I sat though! I remember 6th grade but not 5th. How old do you think Mr. Edelson (or how ever his name was spelled) was when we had him as our teacher? Our age now? I remember him as 'old'! Nice, friendly but old. I have the grey hair but I wont be accepting 'old' just yet. Maybe in another 20 years or so but not now.
I think we were 14 years old when we played at the beach club. I was playing harmonica and tambourine at that show. I went to Parsons and Jamaica with him. He should know who I am.

Thank you for the compliment. You look wonderful yourself. I would also like to send my best regards to your parents. Where are you living? I expect to be in the US next month, probably the middle to March. My mother-in-law lives in Queens and I plan to visit with her.
Best wishes, Karen

Cindy,
You sure look familiar, your pictures are great. You should definitely let me know the next time you're out here visiting your brother. We'll have a California adventure. I too am a single mother, (widowed, regrettably) with a daughter 21 and a son, 20. My sister, Donna, lives in Forest Hills, too.

Hey Cindy:
Parents are still on the block but age has caught up hard with them. I'm in Baltimore doing well one daughter, Rachel. We stopped going to the beachclub a few years back after they couldn't travel as well. Your son looks just like Corey, and you haven't changed.
Take care,
Jerry
