I remember Ms. Wolf well, of course, the rest them less so. My wife can hardly believe I attended Hebrew school at all, given that I am less than devout these days. It always bugged me that they charged boys a qtr if we forgot our yarmulkes! I attended Campbell, then was part of group that splintered off to Stuyvesant HS. I'm still in touch with Howard Roman, who was also in that group, he's doing well. But after spending most of last ~30yrs in CA, I'm pretty out of touch.

It's fun e-chatting though, brings back lots of memories ... Take care !!!

Nice to hear from you! I ran across this site just recently. Amazing how much time has gone by ... I believe I recall seeing you last when you were engaged, and now you have a 16yo. Anyway, your photo looks great and it sounds like you're a busy working mom.

For myself I am married nine years, my wife and I don't have kids, so its up to me to be as childish as possible. I work in high-tech, and my wife is a high-school French teacher. In addition to the classes we had together, I remember always seeing your family in shul on Holidays, I think you sat in front of us every year. We always arrived late, and used to locate our seats by searching out your dad's head in the crowd.

Anyway, hope this finds you and your family well.

Of course I remember you. I work at Old Bridge High School, going back and forth between both buildings.
My youngest daughter has done a couple of Spotlight Players and Marlboro Players productions, most recently Hello Dolly. Maybe they were in one together, who knows.

Thanks for your note. Very nice to hear from you. I remember you and Lynne and Kenneth very well. We were at your house several times. Every once in a while I drive by the old neighborhood with my family pointing out all the old places (my daughters, ages 9 and 11, roll their eyes). One time we went by your old house and I told them, "that's where the Golubow's lived!).

Great to hear from you. We were in some classes together but I would have to get out the class pictures to see which ones. I know exactly where you lived, just around the corner from the school entrance, going down to park drive east. Our parents were friends and I think we went to your house once or twice.Can't believe its been 37 years since we graduated 164!

Senorita Karen .... just got turned on to this site by my brother ... what a surprise .. to say the least ... I live in a small mtn village in Copan, Honduras. We have a couple of small hotels that cater to tourists, I am married to a lovely Honduran, Angela and we have 1 son. Any info on members of our class is welcome. I lived on Main St and Union Tpke across the street from Joey Sobel, as well my neighbor Tony Conti, Joey Groom, cant remember the rest. I see there are a few from our class participating on this site .. any news would be fun ... Howard

Hi Karen

I have to say I'm fighting middle age crisis with a vengeance.I do a lot of exercising to stay fit.I run a vacation center at the seaside (the one in Belgium) so have to be really in shape because it's hard work all day. The good part is I get to go alot to the ocean and suntan one of my favorite pasttimes.

You've also changed a lot and have become successfull. I knew you would you always had a good head.

Anyways ,French is among the many languages that I speak today. So I guess it's il est gros , il est gras...Allouette gentille allouette.. and what about j'ai une plume...

My parents still live off Main St. Mindy Cetel lived down the block, but I don't know what she is up to these days. Gilma is married and living in California. I will see if I can find some emails and spread the word about this. Good luck with the Bar Mitz!

Hi Karen, reading the emails from you and Aviva is really bringing a smile to my face and remembering a lot of the old names. Unfortunately my memory is not as good, must have been a few rough years in college catching up with me. I certainly remember you and am in touch with a few people from 164. I am friends with Bernie Feuer (not sure if you remember him), Neal Geffner, he was a year ahead of us and caught up with aviva a number of years ago. I live in Westfield probably not far from you with my wife Jill and three children. I work for a real estate consulting firm out of Roseland, NJ. Thanks for reaching out and saying hi.

Aviva, I am impressed you are still in contact with so many people! Is David a doctor? Please tell him I said "hi" and am so sorry to hear about Ed. What is Howard doing? I forget what Neil is doing also. Carrie Berman! All these names are coming back......... What street do your parents live on? I lived on 77th Avenue, if you remember. My parents passed away. My mom in December 2004 and my dad in November 2005. Really sad and hard.

Steve Leblang went to my HS and someone I know keeps up with him. He was out in CA, supposedly doing very well. Trying to think of other names......... Jason..............do you have any idea what he looks like now? Still dark and brooding? Is Gilma back in the states? Know she was part of the American Ballet Theater and was abroad. Still remember how she used to practice on the monkey bars!! San Salvador was a cutie! Do you have a recent picture? Cindy Perrin -- her birthday is my half birthday. Wonder what she is doing! Mindy Cetel (?) is another one.

Yes, it is so sad. (Peter Neumann and I are members of the same Temple.) Now that Strauss got me going, I just emailed Gilma to see if I can get her online.

You have a good memory!!! The dorky Shwinn bikes, lol!! With the baskets and bells!!!!! OMG!!!! Jason Steiker (or was it Streiker?)!!!!! Haven't thought about him in years! Please fill me in on Jeff, Howard, Jason, and Neil. Ran into Neil many, many years ago. Robin Derenfeld went to my college. She turned into a flower child! Am wondering about Ian Broderick. Saw Lisa Goldberg many years ago; she was a student of my dad's at The New York College of Osteopathic Medicine. Renea Zook has been living in Israel for at least 20, 25 years. A friend of mine is friends with her husband. We had a GREAT group of kids in our class. So glad to be hearing from you! Please let me know more about you and those guys! I'd love to meet you next time you're in Queens. I live in NJ, not that far away. Passed the old house and school in December. Weird, very weird! Still remember cleaning up the kindergarten area as part of a project.

PS -- Weren't you good friends with a kid from San Salvador? Or was his name Salvador? Then he went back home? Vague memory...................
