so glad i found you this website brings back so much. I read about Alice and her sister Nancy. Wendy knew about Joey she called here about 8 years ago surprised she did not tell you. He loved all of you girls, are you in touch with Carrie, Joeys name is mention so many times on peoples pages just amazing i am glad you found me on fb i wrote to Nancy and you just a little overwhelming for me all at once would love to catch on things with you.
Joey left me a wonderful little Jack Russel Terrier Veeda she is old and sick now but i love her to pieces oh no kids for me not married came close a few times. xoxoxfran

It was so good to see you and your daughters - I just had to say hello. My folks still live in the neighborhood and when my boys were younger, they would play in the schoolyard. Did we have Hebrew together? Do you recall our teacher's name? I tell my kids stories all the time.

I do remember your father at my wedding and Lisa Daniels as well attended. Now her I recognized right away on the school foto's though ours is written 1971 graduating class and I don't recognize a soul. Can you explain that to me?

Do you remember our black labrador wild dog? What about picking up a pizza at Mama Lucys, a ice cream cone at Baskins an Robbins, a falafal on the corner...

Bruce Finkelstein and his wife came also to visit me here as did Wendy. You're of course always welcome but I have to warn you this is not Miami beach. The North sea water is always freezing. This has to do with the fact that it never really gets hot here. We're content if it's sunny and the kids can play in the sand. Rarely you see anyone swimming in the ocean. It's also a boring seaside as there are no waves to ride. The only reason I'm there is because that's where I work. It's the only kosher hotel in Belgium and it happens to be on the seaside. We're even open in the winter because people over here think that's healthy to go to the seaside and freeze even though you can't play in the sand let alone go near the water. There's usually big sandstorms that keep you far from the deck.

OK, what's a captive dance recital?

My daughter may be moving to Tenafly from Crown Hts. this summer- how far is that from you?

Dear Aliza

Isn't this a riot? I feel like going down the block this minute and seeing your father opening the door and making jokes. I remember that great birthday party he made for you. Weren't your parents Israeli? Anyways, you look terrific as does your daughters.

You might have heard I ended up in the Middle Ages- for some reason things have not advanced over here for about 500 years. If that doesn't bother you then Antwerp is not such a bad place. Of course I had no choice but to grow where I was planted and so I did. I'm married with 6 kids. Two are already married and my daughter just gave birth to a girl. My husband and I run a vacation center at the seaside. I've been back to our old neighborhood many times. Wendy and I have met on many occasions. Poor Joey I heard that he left this world very young. He came all the way to Belgium to visit me before he was sick. He never told me about his illness although we tried to stay in contact.

It seems you have lots of hobbies- these are the only ways I try to stay sane. I do aerobics a couple of times a week, bike,go to a professional cooking school where I'm almost sous-chef, took an intensive computer course just to name a few.

I can't believe you work practically in my backyard! I live down 516 in Lakeridge. My daughter Bari is in 10th grade at OBHS and my son Charlie is in 7th grade at Sandburg. Hi Aliza, This is Nancy Goldstein, Alice's sister and your former neighbor from 71st Ave. Your 15 year old looks exactly like you did when you were 15. I have a 13 year old Sofia who plays soccer and runs track. I talk to Wendy often, wait till I tell her I saw your photo. You look terrific.

i have memories of 164 and hanging out also i think we went to hebrew school together but not 100% sure. You look the same and your daughters look just like you. We have lots of friends in Marlboro and my three kids line up with yours perfectly both by age and gender. The site has brought back lots of fun memories and names from the past. Thanks for reaching out, do you still talk to Alice or Wendy, I remember the three of you as inseparable back in the day.
