Hi Shari....it was wonderful to hear from you and Lynne. It made my day! I can't believe after all these years to find each other again. You were right, we were inseparable. I have lots of great memories of us on 70th Avenue. How about when our moms let us go to Main Street movies by ourselves for the 1st time. We saw Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid! Remember when we would take the bus into Flushing on a Saturday to go shopping at Sterns, Alexanders and buy some lunch...we thought we were so grownup. How about those carnivals we would do along the sides
of our houses. Playing games, selling Kool-Aid, Ring Dings and
Devil Dogs. We actually made some money. We were very savvy businsss women for our age (what..9 or 10). I could just keep going on and on with these stories. These days my short term memory sucks, but long term OMG! Do you remember since we had a color t.v. that almost every year you would come over my house to watch the Wiz of OZ? Of course I remember you. One year you and I sat next to each other near the door of the classroom. Can't remember which year it was. I too remember the spin the bottle games, usually at Joe Sobel's apartment near Vleigh Place park (his parent's never seemed to be home. He had a older sister and I distinctly remember her room had a James Taylor poster in it. Sometimes the game's were at Carrie Berman's house. Like it was yesterday, right?

Senorita Shari .... just got turned on to this site by my brother ... what a surprise .. to say the least ... I live in a small mtn village in Copan, Honduras. We have a couple of small hotels that cater to tourists, I am married to a lovely Honduran, Angela and we have 1 son. Any info on members of our class is welcome. I lived on Main St and Union Tpke across the street from Joey Sobel, as well my neighbor Tiny Conti, Joey Groom, cant remember the rest. I see there are a few from our class participating on this site .. any news would be fun ... Howard

As I remember it, you lived down the block from Alice. You mentioned Joey in one of your responses. I lost touch with him many years ago when I was still in college, but we manged to keep in contact until then.

That's so nice of you to write me after all these centuries,I mean years or just does it feel like that way to me?

You may recall I think I did try to contact you after I had gone away to Israel. You might have been shocked to hear from me then. Anyways, I live in Belguim so next time you're in town we could get together . I also go to the states regularly.

Hi Shari! I definitely remember your name, but don't remember after all these years what you look like! I have a faint memory of perhaps you being tall and thin. I was in the IGC classes also. Ian Broderick, Howie Roman, Gilma Bustillo, Robin Derenfeld (who I saw a few times in college), Lisa Goldberg, Neal Berger, etc, were in the classes. We had a great group back then! Can you send me a current picture? Where are you living now? Thanks so much for writing!
