Hi Alice actually my mother passed away a month ago sad to say. It has been hard. I guess you felt that way about your mom.
Your sister was there at the shiva and all.
I did an orthodox burial and I have someone saying Kaddish 3 times a day. Guess I become religious at times like these.
Hope to see you. Coming to NY? Donna
HI ALICE,
I'M EMAILING YOU FOR MY BROTHER,JEFF FRANKEL, WHO SAYS HI AND WANTS YOU TO KNOW THAT HE THINKS ABOUT YOU AND HOPES THAT YOU ARE DOING WELL. HE IS DOWN IN FLA. RIGHT NOW, BUT WILL BE IN TOUCH WHEN HE RETURNS TO NY.
I'm a captive dance recital audience member. I spend a lot of time watching my older daughter dance. She dances competitively in a dance company after school, as well as attending a performing arts high school for dance. It's a good thing I like watching dance performances.
I remember your black dog, as well as Baskin and Robbins, movies at the Main Street theater and falafel/pizza at Shimon's. Also saturday dance class, Hebrew school and sneaking glasses of shnapps at someone's Bat Mitzvah kiddush.
Alice-
You look great! Mazel tov on your new granddaughter! My parents both send their regards. I knew you moved to Belgium sometime after you were married. It sounds like it's been an exciting 20+ years since I last saw you.
I just heard from Wendy and your sister recently. It's really a blessing to be able to reconnect with old friends.
I didn't know Joey had passed away until I read it here. The last time I saw him was shortly after my son was born. Do you know if anyone keeps in touch with his sister Fran?
I hope someday in the not too distant future to come and visit you at the seashore in Belgium.
Take care,
Aliza
Hi Alice!
It's been so long. How are you? You look great, just like I remember all those years ago. Last time I saw you was at your wedding or shortly after that.
I'm sorry to hear about your mother. I used to drop in and see your parents back when my father still lived in Queens. But that had to be over 20 years ago.
Please say hello to Wendy from me. I don't know how we lost touch, but somehow we did. I have great memories of time spent with both of you, especially during our years at Hillcrest.
Senorita Alice .... just got turned on to this site by my brother ... what a surprise .. to say the least ... I live in a small mtn village in Copan, Honduras. We have a couple of small hotels that cater to tourists, I am married to a lovely Honduran, Angela and we have 1 son. Any info on members of our class is welcome. I lived on Main St and Union Tpke across the street from Joey Sobel, as well my neighbor Tony Conti, Joey Groom, cant remember the rest. I see there are a few from our class participating on this site .. any news would be fun ... Howard
How are your parents? I remember both of them. My Dad died when I was in college in my Junior year, and my Mom in 1999. Unfortunately my kids never got to know my parents.
What did you do after High School? Is that when you went to Israel? I attended Cooper Union in the city and met my husband at one of my first jobs out of school.
What did you hear about Joey Sobel? I had suspected that he passed away, but never had it confirmed.
I do feel that this is a test of my memory, it does come back eventually, only very slowly.
Somehow I heard that you were in Belgium years ago, although I'm not sure how. When did you move there? How many children do you have? Must be quite a few from the sound of it.
I never left New York. Lived in the city and Brooklyn for years before moving up to Westchester when we started a family in 1992.
Pat was the woman you were referring to, Susan and I stayed in touch with her for many, many years. She moved up to Niagara Falls, and I visited her there a couple of years before she died.
Poor old Tipsy, we never took very good care of her. Our dog now is a poodle as well, although a standard and my sister has the half brother to our dog.

Hi Alice,
I have to say this feels very strange, listening to voices of people I knew a lifetime ago. I have many memories of times we spent together. The endless drives to ballet class on Queens Blvd, not to forget the actual ballet classes themselves. Baking cakes for your father every Friday, I think it was. I still have a scar from a bicycle accident I had going down the hill behind your house. And many, many more.
Hope you are well. How are your parents? How many children do you have and how old are they? I have 3 daughters, ages 11, 13 and 15 and live in Westchester.

Hi Alice,
How have you been? It's been a while. I heard from your kid Michael who I remember is living in Jerusalem, but he still hasn't come up to visit. And we're still waiting to see you here again soon.

Hi Alice, Glad to see that your siblings got you to sign up. Would love to hear about the last 30 years. Rumor had back in the day that you and Wendy went to Israel and ended up eventually getting married with guys you met overseas. Also that both of you became very religious. In looking over the site not many families with 3 kids from the neighborhood, not sure I remember any besides your family and mine.
Hi Alice, how are you? I'm so glad you're on the site! I'm planning my son's Bar Mitzvah and it seems only yesterday that we had our joint one! I would love to hear what you are doing these days.
Hiya Alice: It is great to see you on this site. It is so awesome to connect after all these years.
I often wondered where you were ,and i heard you moved to Antwerp and married a diamond dealer. For many years now i have been married to Mark, who is from Holland, and whenever we go back to for a visit and travel by train thru Belguim i pass thru Antwerp and think of you. Isn't that weird. Anyway, whats going on. How are your parents and sister. I remember all those days and nights we spent hanging out in your room and in the basement of your house.Seems like yesterday. Write back. Love and kisses,Shari
