Actually, it isn't too late. I asked Patricia Weppler. She said that if I or any of my old (as in long-time..lol) friends can send in a check this week, they will still accept it. My sister and some of her friends are going. So let me know if you might. And if you pass through Princeton, we can hang out.

Hey stranger! Just wanted to stop by and say hi.I moved in the middle of 6th grade and have nothing but wonderful memories of 164. Unfortunately, I lost all my pics in a fire. I know our 4th grade pic is posted but by any chance do u have any others I may be in? I believe we went straight through from k-6 together. btw,I work as a rabbi in addition to being the activity director where I work! So glad to hear youre doing well!

That would be excellent, Ruben. I would estimate that it's been approximately 38 years since we've spoken. I'm sure we'll have plenty to talk about. When do you expect to be in the Princeton area next?

Hey, Ruben. It's been many, many years since we've communicated. I've heard third-hand about you through the Rohers, who are still in touch with my parents. I live with my family in Princeton Junction, NJ. We used to be great friends in the early years, but we drifted. Would be great to re-connect.

Oh I didn't realize that you were born in Cuba. Were you there during the revolution when they threw out the Americans etc?
Also what do you think of ouaxa-pronounced whahacka? I heard it was nice, lots of crafts...

My daughter learned English in 2 and a half months! She forgot Russian completely, even tho this part of Forest Hills and her school have plenty fom Uzbekistan. I am told that had I been speaking it at home she could have retained it.
So why did your family live in Mexico? Were you practicing law there?
I have been there many times on vacation I like Ixtapa, and Zhuatenajo or however you spell it. It was a pretty authntic fishing village, less tourists..

hi wow you know some intereresting stuff. My father's father was Russian and spoke it. He shot himself in the hand to not be enlisted in the army in Russia. Although his wife's family said they were from Russia- Poland, obv. Russia took over Poland. The only Perlmutters I know are my cousins aunt and uncle who lived in Cleveland Ohio. Now they are dispersed- Florida etc. My grandfather may have come from Ukraine. Believe it or not Nathan Perlmutter is a common name for Perlmutters.
Here is an interesting tidbit. I adopted my daughter from Russia, actually Tatarstan. Yknow Ghengis Khan? The people originated from mongolia, and look asian. They are mostly moslem. My daughter must also have Russian blood I am told bec. she is Blonde and green eyed, not Asian looking.
Believe it or not somewhere along the line all of us Perlmutters may be related. So I went to Russia for two wks. Pretty weird. The languge was hard for me but my daughter was 4 and I had to be able to talk to her! What are your kids like?

PS I am always asked if I am related to this perlmutter or that and my answer is always no. Funny it is a German or Yiddish name, but my gramd father came from Russia- do you know where your Perlmutters were from?
