Hi Ronni and welcome to the site. What would your graduation year from PS 164 have been if you stayed? I add all members to a class list on the main page of the site, so I need to know what year to place you in.

Yep- been with SAIC for almost 9 years. Really strange company.
I was the chief tax officer and used to go back to McLean a few times a year. I am now sort of director emeritus (still have a job, don't have to do much)
We have a place on East 52 Street, so I get back to NY pretty often.
I remember the speeches also - Declaration of Independence, Preamble to the Constitution, Partic Henry's Speech and O Captain My Captain. Were there any others?
I think we had to call the principal Dr Karrow

Thanks for the update, Andy. I have such vivid memories of playing in the courtyard, and remember the Fishers who lived next to the Callans...wow...Are you with SAIC? I'm getting confused with my first day on this site.---ronni

We were at 78-17 in the corner and then moved accross the courtyard to Cary Fisher's apartment after they moved.
My Mom sold it only about 2 years ago after being a Florida snow-bird. Larry is doing well in Seattle -PhD computer nerd.

Yes I was called Joanie, Joanie the pony, and Mr Edelson called me Joanie Dear. I had that extra picture also. He clipped it on to all of the class pictures and wrote a whole bunch of stuff on the back. I live in Dix Hills now. I've been married for 27 years & have 4 children. I kept in touch with Lynne Abbott for a long time, but we haven't spoken in quite a few years now. I still keep in touch with Donna Gellman, she was a year ahead of us.

Thanks for writing; that did make me laugh. We probably all need glasses now! Of course I remember Abby -- we were best friends and lived across the street from each other. I think of her often, partly because I have an only child (which Abby was), which is as unusual where I live as it was growing up. I live in a suburb of Seattle -- I've been out here for 28 years. Married a guy I met out here who went to Jamaica High. Instant click!

I remember you. I think I remember you living in the garden apartments near 78th Ave, but I'm not sure. Mr Edelson wouldn't have taught too long in today's world. He put his hand up my dress. I was always wondering if he touched anyone else.
