Yes, I remember you! And I know what you mean about people thinking that "Perlmutter" is a rare name. Yet, obviously, it's not! I've met Perlmutters, everywhere I go. I agree with you totally about having PS164 memories etched in my mind forever. My experience at the school was truly formative. I wonder if everyone's PS164 experience was like that, and if everyone's elementary school memories are like that, regarless of whether or not they attended PS164! I've been in touch with Mrs. Alexander and Mrs. Glaubman, but I wonder what happened to Mrs. Silberman and Mrs. Rothburd. I imagine that Mrs. Riccio, Mrs. Farkas, Mrs. Berman, Mrs. Reville and Mrs. Sonenthal are "not around" anymore. Do you have any news about teachers?

Hi Steven---Just joined on this web-site...really something, great memories...anyway, I read your comment to Patricia...Scott Zirkin, if I remember, his mom is still living on Vleigh Place, I think her name is Lillian...I went to school with his sister Carol, we are both a weeeee bit older than you (51...oooops, years young!!!!) Hi, Steve. I've just joined this group and have received a bunch of messages from old amigos such as yourself. The old neighborhood was a great place to grow up; not so sure it would be now. It seems that most people have scattered over the years, which has made our old n'hood more foreign and part of a distant past.

Are you still friends of Howie Laufer (Russ Reisner's cousin)--Russ is married with 3 offspring and lives in Philadelphia. He did a fellowship at a cancer hospital in Buffalo in 1994-6, so we reunited when I arrived in Buffalo in 1994).

I hope you are enduring the mortgage mess with tough skin.

BTO. Yes, I remember those days hanging around 164 park and around my house where we often played ball. I'll ask my mom if she remembers you and your mother. In fact, I'll be home to help her and Larry (married with one daughter, Sophia, and lives in Guilford, CT. He is a stockbroker for Oppenheimer) clean out my grandmother's apartment (in the same complex). She died December 27. One of those markers in life that make the "old days" seem so distant and part of another life.

I'm in the process of adding more pics....I was in touch with Ellen S a few times but it has been awhile. I have been in touch with Ellen Morgenstern,and Chuck Barberi and sometimes Adam Brown (from Campbell & Hillcrest). I have often wondered about Howie...nobody seems to know where he is. We got together a few times while in college but that was it!! I am so glad Patricia did this...it is nice remembering when things were simple although we didn't think so at the time!! I cant even fathom living with a 16 Yr old. Rachel is great, but lots of work . I would love a reunioin, and would be willing to have it here in Long Beach. We will probably move to the North Shore within a couple of years. It is beautiful here, but pretty gritty.

Hi again. Ruthanne says hello. Can't believe she has a 4 month old baby when Sandra and I have 16 year olds! Really weird.
