Hi Janet,
I was so happy when my sister told me about this great site. Why can't I remember you? We both had Mrs. Alexander is kindergarten and Mr. Connors is 6th grade. Please let me know where you are sitting or standing in the blue beret picture of 1975, maybe it will jog my memory. I'm sorry. Susan

Hi Janet! Sorry it took so long to set up the above page. Take a look and let me know if there are any changes you want made to the captions (or if you want to ID more people.)

hi janet - i do remember you from the old neighborhood and the silly girls friends competition of the years past. i keep in touch with susan for a little bit after she moved to tenifly nj, but then lost touch with her. i would love to find her as well. I currently live in long island and am also happily married. i have one girl who is really great, she is 19 and going to american university in DC. even though she is away she can keep us on the run. i drive through the old neighborhood once in awhile and it brings back lots of great memories. i cant believe you got in touch with mrs alexander! that is really great. if you ever go back to queens give me a holler - i live in long island and its just a hop-skip-and jump away. i hope that one of us or someone hears from susan so we can reconnect! so stay well and if i hear any thing i will certianlly pass it along to you.

Hi Janet,

How are you? I'm getting old, my Birthday is tomorrow. Guess what, last night my husband took to to Kew Garden Hills and we went out for dinner at Angelos for my Birthday. LOL. We love the food there. I was thinking of you and this website. It brought back a lot of memories. Most of the stores are different but the neighborhood still looks nice and clean. I was telling my husband where each store was and who lived where. I need to email Patricia to find where the birthday party pictures and then I'll let you know. I loved living in Florida. Going to HS in Florida was a great experience. My HS was smaller than NY schools and everyone knew each other. I have a lot of friends there. Last June I had my HS reunion there, it was really great seeing my old friends. A lot of us keep in touch now. The girl who ran it gave everyone each others email addresses and phone numbers. I met my husband at a dance club in Long Island, NY called OZ 10 years ago.

I love working with the babies at gymboree. It is lot's of fun but pays hardly anything. If you are interested call your local gymboree. Each manager is different but they all are suppose to run the program the same way

It is great talking to you again. Ilove the picture of you and your husband on your site....What a nice looking couple. I am sorry to hear about your dad. You brought back so many good memories....that swingset was the best,, and those beads. I have taught kindergarten for 14 years and now I am doing work for Gymboree doing their art program and their infant bonding program. I love it even if it does not pay that well. Please keep in touch.

Hi Janet,

How are you? I haven't seen the birthday pictures. Where do I look for them at? I still need to put pictures on here. I just need to find time. That I haven't had any time for myself lately. I need a vacation! I just want to lye down at a beach or a pool with a Pina Colada and relax. How's your kids and husband? Any good plans for the weekend. So far I'm getting my hair done on Saturday morning and then going to my nieces birthday party. Also the usual cleaning , shopping, and errands.

Hi Janet,

I forgot to tell you a funny story about Edith . Her dad was a Dr. When I was 5 years old he pierced my ears in his waiting area. When I saw all the needles in his office I started screaming and wouldn't go inside. Plus back then he charged us $20.00. That was a lot of money in those days. LOL. Any good plans for the weekend?

Hi Janet,

That's so funny I was thinking about Donna Fostini also. LOL. I have no idea. I don't even remember if she was with us all the way to 6th grade or not. Email me and I'll tell you a funny story. My neighbors didn't think it was so funny and neither did my mother.

Hi Janet,

Probably through this site we'll eventually find out from someone. Her birthday was Dec 5th. When I moved to Florida she even visited me there. Do you remember Jackie Harris? She used to come to all my parties also. This weekend I have to go through all my pictures. I have thousands in shoe boxs. Go figure, 44 years worth. LOL

Hi Janet,

I found out from my friend Melanie who used to live next door to me. She called me when I was living in Florida. She heard it was her heart but wasn't sure. I miss her. I think about her a lot. I still remember her birthday every year.

Hi Janet,

How have you been? You just brought make so many good memories. Of course I remember you Yeah, my mom was great with all my birthday parties. I remember playing freeze dance. Thanks for the nice comment on my dancing. I still love to dance. I danced on American bandstand 2 years in a row, August
1984 and 1985. The ride was a pirate ship that went side to side. The guy who ran it, was Tony. We used to call the ride Tony. He used to say hang on, who wants to go higher and we all used to scream . When we got off the ride he used to call all the kids names, princess, batman, etc. Then Mr Softee used to come around and the whip. Robin passed away when she was around 25. I lost touch with almost everyone. I moved away from NY when I was 15. Did you live on 72nd? Send me a old pixs of you. I need to look for my pictures from the birthday parties. I'm still friends with Maria and Lois Sclafani. Talk to you soon.

The only way to get rid of the google ads on the right side of every page is for the site to become a pay site, which would cost $20/month. For me, the ads have always stayed in their regular box and haven't caused any problems. The way the site is designed, the ads aren't supposed to be any bigger than that white box they are in. Let me know if it happens again. I don't think there's anything we can do about it though, other than to change from our "free" status (which is why we see ads) to the pay status.
