For sure! It was a great place to go and have a good time. I remember watching a show about a gorilla lady,and being scared to death! We had some great times..

There were 2 "beach" clubs, Linden Beach club next to Adventurers Inn and Flamingo Beach Club behind it.
After I graduated from 164 my family moved to that side of Flushing.

adventures inn was the best. i would take my daughter to the movie theatre that stands there now and tell her the stories of adventures inn, especially the misspelling of the "FLGIHT TO MARS". Do you remember that at the end of the ride someone would yell and try to scare you. Knowing that we were always looking to punch that person. we actually hit the guy too. i hope it wasn't a PS 164 alumni. i remember seeing the buses on Main St that would take you to flamingo or linden bch club.
eddie siegel got tossed out of a game room? come on now.

The Swim Club is a few blocks down on Union St and 32nd AVenue. Still there!!!!
Just as scary as it ever was.

I remember. My parents and my cousin Mara's parents used to take us there on the weekend and give us a dollar to play the games and stay out of their hair for a little while. We used to be able to play a lot of games for $1. I also remember the really greasy hot dogs--just thinking about them gives me a stomache ache but we loved them back then!

I remember the long blue slides. Put on a Burlap sack and Zoom!
I also saw the arcade just weeks before they tore it down. It was practically falling down.
Large areas were sectioned off were the Foundation sank.

Howard,
I remember it well. My Dad would take my brother and I there and I may have even had a birthday party there.
I stil remember a game in the arcade room in which the player would try to sink battleships with
by sending a torpedoe across the "water" at just right time. To this day I still think of that when I am driving
under a overpass and a car crosses over me simultaneously. I know--I have issues!!!

Hey David.

Wow, I too, have a very strong image of that game. The torpedo was really an illumintated shell traveling under the mountainous waves towards the ship. It was my favorite game in the arcade and I'm curious to hear if other alumni remember it so fondly.
