I so agree-Patrick was and maybe still is good lookin'.i never chased after him because i knew i never had a chance with him or maybe because he had a tough girl friend and i was afraid she'd beat me up. i remember Jay ,too.Did you the Piazza brothers. They lived in my court in the garden apts. off Vleigh?

you knew the piazza's? they must have been athletes too like you. i remember how big i thought the 164 playground was when you had to run from homeplate on the girls side to the basketball hoop by the Salgo's house. there was a lot going on in that playground if you counted the swings and handball courts too. i'll be seeing the salgo's cousin next month in north carolina. that would be Mrs. Farkas's daughter. did you ever have her for a teacher?

Your brother, me, Robbie Sues, all had Mrs. Farkas in kindegarten. I remember she played the piano. I think she cotaught with Mrs. Sachs and Mrs. Zobler. Actually, now that i think of it, maybe she wasn't our regular teacher but the music teacher. Nancy, I'm so senile. Anyway, your daughter is a real beauty.

Rob Piazza was a really good ballplayer. I also remember when we were teenagers(he was like two years older than me)he played in a band with Chris Ferro, and a couple of other guys. After that we lost touch. Richie was a real nice kid too.

remember this -i have 2 years senility on you and i'm still in NY.oy. i i brought my daughter up the way I was -to be able to handle the streets. of course there's no street like Main St. am i right? did i mention that i am still best friends with Mrs. Farkas's daughter, Kathy. we are getting together this summer with another friend from 164. back in the day we did a lot of roaming from Main st. to the playground. As a matter of fact I think my other friend knew Chris Ferro, that name is familiar to me.I heard Richie was a drummer.

Piazza was on the same team as me for a year or so.
That guy was the best pitcher in the whole leauge.
We went 16-1 for the season........We even beat out Little Joey Kaso's team....he was also a real great player.
I think he went on to play for ST Johns "somewhat Later"

wow, i knew they were both good athletes. i remember racing with joey thru the halls in 164 and he always beat me.. it was tough being a girl athlete in those days not to many chances to play sports. you must also remember philip grossman? didn't he work with you at the bagel store on Main

hi nancy you were the best female athlete in the grade.all i wanted to do is run and play its so funny you remember that,i too remember alot of great times free as a bird its great being a kid.only the people who were there can relate .i though about 164 so many times through the years where everyone was what are they doin .there is so much to talk about hope to make contact some day god bless.peace out

yes he did he play football for the redmen of st johns started every game in a 5 season career.was voted team mvp in 78 .79 led the nation in passing in 78 .is now helping high school students get into colleges as the head football coach at cardozo hs.

Nancy, I cannot recall knowing the Piazza Brothers. I lived on Main Street & 76th Road. I went to both parks - 164 & Vleigh, I know that back then there were a lot kids hanging in both parks, who were the Piazza Brothers friends with??? Do you know what their ages may be? I found many of my 164 class pictures, and I am waiting for someone to help me get them on the 164 site. Take care for now, CINDY
