All these years later (going on 50 since I graduated) I can still recite the entire Gettysburg Address, the Preamble to the Constitution, and the Declaration of Independence. And do you remember working on penmanship? I even won a penmanship award (although you wouldn't believe it to see my handwriting now). Nowadays, they're not even teaching cursive writing in the schools!</p>

I too missed the documents all together being in the class of '66.<br /> But I do remember Dr. Karrow coming into Mrs. Riccio's 2nd grade classroom while we were reciting a poem.
