We needed a police escort to the bus after the game, because of an incident I was involved in: during a foul shot, a player on the opposing team held my shorts, which came halfway down my butt as I jumped. He got the rebound and went racing downcourt for a layup. Only I caught up to him, and pushed him hard in the back - he went airborn and into the wall behind the basket. I got a foul, a technical, and a warning that another incident like that and I'd be banned for life. The crowd was yelling threats at me, and after the game they started throwing things. We had to remain in the locker room till the police came and hustled us - me - out to the bus while we clutched our championship trophy and pounded our chests to taunt the hostile crowd. Great night!

I wonder who has that trophy now? Maybe Mitch knows...
