Mrs. Simon invited us up to the house so we walked. What I remember most is that she all of the gold records on the wall leading up the staircase. She was a very proud mama.&lt;/p&gt;                    </summary>

                        &lt;p&gt;Mrs. Simon filled in for almost all of my fifth grade year when our regular teacher, Mrs. Whiting, had to go out for surgery.  Mrs. Simon was a lovely woman.  For whatever reason, I recall her driving a red and white Ford, maybe a 1958, down 77th Avenue each afternoon as I was on my way to my home on Park Drive East.  Paul and Art came several times to play in the auditorium.  They were still performing as Tom and Jerry.&lt;/p&gt;

As for teachers, sadly my strongest memory is of the despicable (to me) Mrs Greenblatt. She used to make fun of me, was a harsh and angry woman. I think it was 2nd grade.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Of Mr Goldmacher (6th), I retain fonder but less clear memories.&lt;br /&gt;
