Thanks all! It is nice to read such positive feedback about the reunion. I think everyone who attended took a step back in time that night and relived some very happy memories. I am grateful we got the chance to do it! It was a terrific night that I will never forget!!!!

I won't bore you with more of the same - only to say that this was a huge event for me personally and I owe it to Howard, Patricia and all of you. I feel like I have now regained the childhood that I thought I had lost forever after leaving NY in '77. Well worth the distance traveled from Tokyo! Hope to see you all soon.

I am so glad I decided to attend. It had been a life long dream of mine to come back and visit the school and the neighborhood that I loved so much. Who would have thought I would be back here 46 years later! I absolutely LOVED everything!!!

Thanks to everyone who attended the reunion and for making it such a special event. It was a magical night that I will remember always. My favourite parts were singing the school song and standing on the stage in the auditorium again. It was a walk back in time!

Patricia and Howard did an amazing job from beginning to end with the reunion. It was an absolutely fantastic event! I hope they finally took a break from all of their hard work and had the chance to enjoy the reunion too.

I posted some photos of the reunion at my page and look forward to seeing the photos that others post.

When I told my friends here in CT that I was attending a reunion of my elementary school, they couldn't believe it. They had never heard of an elementary school reunion before. Actually, I hadn't either. But as soon as I found this web site and learned there was a reunion, I couldn't imagine not going. It is obvious that many other P.S. 164 alumni felt the same way. When my friends in CT ask about the reunion, I am sure they will be even more surprised to hear that our alumni traveled from as far away as Japan, Korea, and California (and who knows from where else) to attend.

And, btw, I must absolve myself of any guilt connected to blue-beret theft! lol! Let it be known, publicly, that I asked my mother and she told me that she purchased both a navy blue and a cream-colored beret for me, after my graduation. She still has the cream-colored one in her closet! She cannot recall (and neither can I, obviously) why she purchased them -- whether it was to replace the one I had as a P.S.164 monitor, or whether it was for some play/skit that I participated in, during my Junior High school years -- but she knows that the blue beret that I currently own is NOT the original one that was given to me by P.S.164. THERE! I said it! Now I can move on!
