Lladró is an expensive hobby, but there are some nice pieces with reasonable prices at Ebay.

If you find old pictures from PS 164, please do post them. I lost track of mine after moving to Spain years ago.

the worst part of my time in Spain is I started a Lladro collection for my wife back in the 1970's, when I could buy the pieces in Spain... now I don't get there except on cruises, and the prices have certainly gone up (in dollars)..oh well, she really loves her collection... I've always loved Spain, however, I think it has really changed in the last 20 years..

I wish I could find my old PS 164 class pictures, but I'm afraid they may be gone...

Hi Jeff... It would have to be the same class, I definitely had Emeric in third grade, 1954/1955, but I don't remember your name.

Jerez is right next to Rota, so yes, you would have had to take the train (bus, airplane..) from my town. It's amazing to think someone from PS 164 was in Rota while I was living right next door.

What an annoying twit Emeric was...I loved school, but dreaded seeing that woman every day. I remember her as being extremely old...but she was probably no more than 50 :-))))

Estelle, it is possible we were in Mrs. Emerick's third grade class together, as I think I "graduated" PS 164 in 1958. I remember the finger nail inspections, and having to print "nobless oblige" on test papers... So you live in Jerez de la Frontera ? I think I took a train from there to Madrid back in my air force days when I flew into the US Navy base in Rota Spain... that would have been in the early 1970's..

Regarding PS 164, I remember David Biegel, Robert Block, Myra Hoffman, also my sister (Susan Bricker) was a year younger (class of 1959) and my brother (David Bricker) a few years later.

I moved to Spain with my husband and two kids in 1970. I live alone now, in Jerez de la Frontera, which is in the southwestern part...it's a good life.

I'm sorry about your dog, I'm an animal-lover too, my cat Rosalia is my best friend.

wasn't able to access your response when you first wrote. this morning i received 2 e mails from the alumni assoc. about the reunion they held last weekend and so it was a good time to respond to you. i could have attended the reunion, as i live in manhattan and was around...but wouldn't have known anyone there.
wow..you live in spain year-round! and write about flamenco. how different and great-sounding. i have a very good friend from valencia, who is married to a German and they live in Stuttgart. They visit Valencia often and have bought some property there; so one of these days we shall be joining them.

how long have you lived there? which town? are you on your own or with family?
as for me, i live with gary...on and off...mostly on..since 1975. no kids. we have a parakeet and just recently our dog buddie, who we had for 11 years, and was 12 years old, died.

Hi Elaine! I remember your name but not the face. It's true, Andrea was out sick all the time, but she was still the smartest kid in the class! I must have admired her a great deal, because I remember how she looked quite well...long honey-blond hair, bangs...and Joel, blond crew-cut, glasses...also a good student. I could never understand why they didn't look alike!

Hi Estelle. I definitely remember your name. Yes indeed, Carol was the tallest girl; but I probably was second tallest. And if you were in the brownie troop, then we must have known one another. I also fondly remember Andrea and Joel and how often Andrea was out sick and how sweet Joel was. Where do you live? Perhaps we can reconnect!
