Just to let everyone know, I spoke with Mitch yesterday. All things considered, he's doing pretty well and he is definitely looking forward to attending the reunion!

But Andy Steele and I are going, and we were Mitch's classmates, friends - and teammates when we won the Queen County Community Center Basketball Championship back in '63, or whenever. Pat's still accepting latecomers for the Reunion, so I'll be trying to pull in some other old friends. They should have dedicated this event to Mitch - it would have helped the turnout. Good news...Mitch has moved from Queens General Hospital to a nursing home in Elmhurst Queens. Although not the most ideal conditions, it's a major step up from where he was. Mitch now has some more freedoms and can come and go as he pleases. Mitch does not have a phone as of yet, so contacting him is challenging. The good news is his spirit is up!
