I remember you very well. If i remember correctly you were the lieutenant in the honor guard and Lowenstein was the captain. We were in many classes together. Are you looking at our class picture on this site. I cant find it if you are. I was good friends with Stillman. Didnt you live near the school or near Park Drive East. I remember the thing about the clock a little clearer. It was not Living Desert but a movie with Jimmy Stewart I believe where the clock was going backwards due to some weird thing that happened. When they turned the lights on the time was exactly the same as in the movie. I also remembered that I was Lieutenant in the crossing guard. I believe Stephen Lowenstein was captain. I had Edelstein in 5th grade and Berkowitz in 4th. I remember a teacher who taught bird watching in 2nd grade but forgot her name.

I remember you. Or I should say I remember your name. You signed the back of my Class 6-4 photo in June 1961. So did Lee Stillman, Neil Bellinson, Gene Schnipper, Elaine, Stephen, Lowenstein, Nancy Friedman and a bunch of others. I had Mrs. Berkowitz in 5th and I remember Belle Simon doing a long term sub in 3rd grade. Where are you on the photo if you still have it? There is a post regarding the Living Desert, below. But do any of you remember when the time on the clock in the back of the auditorium was the same time as the clock in the movie. They even turned the lights on to show everyone. I also got thrown out of assembly one day. Or was it two? Wait, Sheldon, I think I recognize your picture. You were standing next to Lowenstein, third from the right end, second row! And, OMG is that Sandy in the front row?

Mrs. Glaubman used to stress this as well and always corrected someone who pronounced "our" as "r". To this day, it drives me crazy when I hear people say it that way!!!

Hi

I had Mrs. Bromberg for grades 5 & 6 and she was one of the most influential teachers in my life.
I too can remember the documents, and Patrick Henry's speech is still in my repetoire.
I remember the assembly days, with dark skirts and white blouses.
I remember the most boring movie Living Desert which we were forced to watch each year.
I remember The House I Live In with Frank Sinatra singing.
I remember the drama productions that Mrs. Bromberg directed each year.
Dr. Karow and his many handkerchiefs...and his grammar lessons...say OUR as in SOUR.

hi, i'm too young to remember you but i also had Berkowitz for 4th. i remember Goldmacher (and how his fingernails curved inward in a strange-to-a-kid way and Mr. Edelstein hated me. think you had Mrs. Goldman (not Goldstein) for 2nd - i had her for 3rd. i'm planning on coming to the reunion...no one else from my class has yet committed.
